Recent studies have shown that the first letter of your email affects how much spam you get.
Spammers are usually just advertisers who want to get word out about their products. You, me and everyone else know how anoying this can get, especially if you love signing up for things online. Spammers have various method of getting emails including buying email lists from websites, checking censuses or just typing in firstname.lastname@hotmail.com. I myself have an account of that form. The bigger the list the more time it takes to send out spam right? Not exactly. Most advertisers/spammers dont complete the whole list and will usually stop before they finish. Studies have shown that emails thats start with the letter a such as Aaron.doe@hotmail.com will get 70% more spam than an email such as zach.doe@hotmail.com . So if you are getting angry because of your spam levels, you should probably get an email thats starts with Z.

I never thought of that. I might as well try to stay away from that as much as possible. I’m also careful of the e-mail programs that I join or even offers to sign up for.
