UK has become the target for hackers which has seen an increase in online cyber crime, as the economic downturn drives people to increased online crime. Insiders give us the details.
AN INTERVIEW WITH UK BASED HACKER | ABOUT HOW DATA TRAFFICKING IS SOMETHING THAT THE GOVERNMENT IS NOT PREPARED TO BATTLE WITH.
“Yes cyber crime has seen an increase on the Internet, with more and more people getting frustrated with the global economic crisis, people have to survive, and how do they expect us to survive, we use the skills we have necessary to survive in this economic climate.
The UK government is unaware that hackers are quietly gaining access to thousands and thousands of personal files from local government councils within the United Kingdom. The trade of illegally obtained data or commonly called data trafficking has become increased as hackers quietly infiltrate government systems, and steal thousands of people details which can and have been sold onto organizations that operate in different countries.
Data-Trafficking is becoming more and prevalent, as the economic crisis drives the need for people to be able to find means and ways of making a living, with all the job cuts and increased prices, people need to survive, and we are surviving by the way we know how.
There’s a serious lapse in the local government system and the IT infrastructure behind it, I myself have worked for 3 councils and have been able to totally disable the organizations network with the use of my cellphone. I did this normally when i wanted the day off, knowing that the IT team was so poor in knowledge and would have to wait for contractors to come in to solve the problem i would shut down the network and then look at my boss and say “we’ll have to wait till tomorrow to ge this fixed” . What an easy way to get the day off.
I now work independently, but still i have access to all three of these government mainframes, and can shut them down in the wink of an eye, but whats more important to me is that I am able to gain remote connections to council networks by “piggybacking” off schools networks, or simply using a library in a local government council. I was even able to gain access to the police national database and view details of people that have had DNA samples taken from them. Unfortunately I didn’t copy the information, but I can say that the London Metropolitan Police Service is very lapsed with their IT Systems and their security.
I will say this, the United Kingdom is very lapse when it comes to IT security, and it makes it easy for anyone with a bit of technical knowledge to gain information that can be sold on the internet for thousands of dollars.
