If you’re thinking of registering at a survey site, you may want to reconsider. At least read the fine print! Because I registered at sites such as InboxDollars, SnapDollars, Cash Crate etc. and got a whole bunch of hidden surprises!

Not reading the fine print on the user agreement with both the survey sites, and the offers I were completing were big mistakes. My e-mail address was sold to hundreds, if not thousands of spammers. Also I was automatically, and unknowingly signed up for text messaging services, which added to the cell phone bill. Also I heard some people had their phone numbers and home addresses sold. And I also heard some people’s accounts are closed once they request payment, or the check bounces, or the check never arrives.

Most of the survey sites require you to “qualify” for the survey before you can actually take the survey, or you earn points instead of real money, or they have to send you a survey invitation to your e-mail, which is rare.

Most of these sites have you complete “offers” (e.g. registering at another survey site) and getting paid. But some of these offers require a credit card, or for you to spend more money than you’ll earn. Of course, though, I never used my credit card nor spent any money! There aren’t many free offers, and most of them have little pay. They also send paid e-mails, but they only pay a few pennies each. It’s best to avoid offers such as requesting free info, because the calls will not stop!

In conclusion, if you don’t want your e-mail address, phone number, and home address sold to telemarketers, or unknowingly be signed up for something, avoid survey sites!
