Apparently this computer super-power’s kill-switch has been activated.
October, 2008 a new variant of W32/Conficker worm is born. Just recently it has according to yahoo “Engaged it’s Kill-switch”. Infecting computers world-wide in a cyber massacre it is a force to be weary with. Because after it infects one computer is spreads like wildfire through your network.
It has been on the radar for about a year now and it just did seem to turn on a few days ago. It seems as anything connected to your computer can be infected. I myself got my laptop infected and the USB thumb drive was causing my computer to glitch and i ripped it out and sent it off to be investigated.
But the Conficker can be stopped if you have good anti-spy ware equipped to your computer. After it infected it blocks you from accessing anti virus and other virus-remover sites.
So as we hope that the Conficker will pass and diminish away we have to stay aware that it is out there and think about what you download.
