Please read this or it could cost you alot of money if you fall for it. I almost did but I was smart enough to take the letter and check to the local police department and find out that it was fraud.
Wow I thought as I opened up my mail and saw a letter with a check for $1,375.00. I couldn’t believe that I finally had gotten a chance for some extra money. The letter told me to deposit the check and then do a few evaluations at local places. It said I would get payed $200.00. I just had to go to Wal-Mart and spend $50.00 and then go to JC Penny and spend another $50.00. Then I would need to send a money gram in the amount of $995.00 and keep the receipt and give them the information so they could get the money. I then would need to evaluate the money gram service along with the Wal-Mart and JC Penny service.
I was looking over the check because something didn’t seem right. The check was from a business called Isernio’s Sausage Company. I though it was strange that a sausage company would be involved and want to send me a check. There was a company on the Internet with this name but they would hang up when I asked them questions about this check. Then I realized it had to be fraud because the sausage company is located in Washington but yet the check was sent from Canada. Also the contact phone number was from California.
I took the papers to the police and they already knew about this scam. What happens is you deposit the check and it bounces and then you are left responsible to pay the funds back. The thieves get away with $995.00. Usually the thieves have fake addresses and the phone numbers are not traceable. No mystery shopping program is going to ask you to test money gram service so don’t fall for it. I am so glad I didn’t. So be careful when you join a mystery shopping site. Make sure to research it and if you get a letter and a check like the one I received, take it to your local authorities so they can get the word out about these shameless con artists.
