How to Block Tracking Cookies

This is a practical PC tip which shows the user how to block tracking cookies.

Wondering if there is a way to block those stupid tracking cookies? I guess yes because then you wouldn’t be here searching for it. Well let me guide you with the procedures to do it, I will not explain what is a cookie because I guess you know what is already.

Let’s get to business now! Steps to block tracking cookies

Internet Explorer

    * Go to Tools
    * Select Internet Options
    * Click the Privacy Tab
    * Then Advanced
    * On the POP UP Windows click “Override automatic cookie handling“
    * On “Third Party Cookies” Select “block”
    * Click OK and Viola! No more tracking cookies

Firefox Browser

    * Go to Tools
    * Options, click Privacy Option
    * On Cookies uncheck “Accept Third-Party Cookies“
    * Click OK

These steps should block tracking cookies, most tracking cookies are third-parties which tracks the way users surf the net so the company behind the cookies redirect users to a specific website.
