A look into the latest wave of high-tech terrorism.
Cyber terrorism is on the rise and everyone is at risk.
Cyber terrorists are out there and they are growing in number. These people are not just common spammers trying to make some quick cash – they are here to destroy; some have directly targeted certain groups, others are just people with no lives who go around dropping data bombs on random web sites just to destroy stuff. There are programs to combat them and you can fight back against them, but I am no expert on that. This article is all about different types of cyber terrorists and the internet terrorist’s tactics.
Spammers: Though not considered cyber terrorists, spammers are more like cyber jerks. There goal is to send out as much spam onto the internet as possible so a small percentage of the spam messages they send out will be clicked on and an even smaller percentage of people will actually buy their sometimes nonexistent products. There are very annoying problems that are caused by spammers: spam can slow down your computer or cause it to crash, can make it impossible to view some web sites.
Spy ware distributors: These people can be totally deadly and problematic. They infiltrate your computer through drive-by downloads and then the spy ware downloads sit quietly in your computer and gather your personal information which are then on the internet.
Cyber criminals: These people are also not technically cyber terrorists as they do not have political goals, but unlike spammers, they are a real threat to your wellbeing. They use e-mail viruses to take control of personal computers and web sites. Then extort money from their owners.
Zombie masters: Zombie masters use people’s computers without them even knowing about it to bombard internet sites with data, causing them to go off line for days, weeks, or even forever. One person could take down hundreds of extremely important sites causing worldwide problems, and there are over 950,000 zombie computers in America alone.
Though this is only a partial list of some of the threats there are on the internet remember to always keep in mind that they are out there and they are always looking for there next target.

This is a stupid article. Fear mongering. You didn’t say one single thing that any web savvy person already knows.

the title of the article is just to draw people in, and i have the disclamer where i call them cyber-criminals. and cyber-terrorisum is a real posibility. I live only 2 miles away from a keiser hospital, and the hole hospital is controled by computers that are conected to the internet. now lets say somones was able to hack into those computers they could tern of the power and back-up genarators, everyone inside hue wason dialisis or being operated on whould die.
