The most popular search engine in the world is close to have a global market of 80%, they are about to launch their next big product called Google wave which is more or less an application that combines all your Google data in one place (email, photos, documents, social network), they just released an operating system for mobile phones and they are about to launch a real Windows killer, the Google Chrome OS.

Will Google take over the world and to what Microsoft never did in history?

Maybe.

Microsoft empowered it’s costumer to make and store information, however Microsoft itself never had direct or indirect access to that information. Google does the same Microsoft does but keeps the information in their servers and they even USE it to learn more about you. Their machines or bots or spiders (insult them with every name you can come with) read and analyze every piece of information you work with when you use Google. With this Google wants to know more about you, to sell more to you, to make more money with Adwords.

Google’s next big step in information and internet and computer domination is making an operating system where they can learn every move you make, every file you open, anything you desire, so they can make an incredible profile on you. With this profile, when you make your next search, or when you open your next email, Google will show the ads that have a mathematical higher chance of resulting in both a click and in a conversion, making more money to both Google and advertisers.

How dependent will we be on Google? Google already dominates the world of search. If you want to have results targeted at you based on your history, then use Google. If you want to search only websites you like and trust such as Magazines, portals, your own sites or blogs or a network of gamer websites, you must use Google CSE. If you want to save all your files in a safe place online, you must use Google G-Gmail because it’s much faster and stable than any other email service and even gives you POP3 access for nothing in return. To read your news online the first place to go is Google. If you want to chat with your friends online and even see them without having to install any piece of software you can use G-Mail with chat. If you want to have a simple yet powerful online office tool you have Google Docs.
