Why Are So Many Popular Triond Writers Not Using Google Adsense?

Many Triond writers will tell you that their earnings from Google Adsense are more than what they earn from page views. It is therefore surprising that many of the more recognizable names on the Triond writing site use Chitika ads rather than Google Adsense. I will not call names but most of the writers presently on the “Hot Content” list are not using Google Adsense and there are many more that do not too. If you look at their articles, instead of seeing “Ad Choices” or “Ads by Google” you will see “Chitika.” Let us look at the possible scenarios that could have occasioned this.

(1)   Could it be that Chitika is more profitable than Google Adsense?

Could it be that the most popular writers have found that Chitika earns more for them than Google Adsense? Could it be that Google Adsense is better but some have found a way to maximize Chitika in a way that this dark horse can surge to the front? As I said, most of the people parked on the Hot Content list do not use Google Adsense ads on Triond. Could this be why some are advocating that we disable our Google Adsense ads? However, I remember one Triond writer saying that while the revenue from Triond’s ads will increase the earnings will not be as great as having Google Adsense. 

(2)   The payout threshold for Chitika is much lower

The minimum payout for Google Adsense is $100 US while Chitika’s minimum payout is $50US. This is probably where the advantage of Chitika over Google Adsense lies. In theory, you have to wait twice as long to get your returns from Google Adsense. That is assuming, of course, that click for click the returns of Chitika ads are comparable to that of Google Adsense.

(3)   Google Adsense may not be functional in their country

Google has blocked some countries from accessing certain of its services. Possibly due to some writers’ location they cannot have a Google Adsense account. 

(4)   Many people do not have an Adsense Account

Much of scenario #4 is hardly likely in the case of the more popular Triond writers but I will state it anyway. Many people do not yet have a Google Adsense account. Many also do not know how to go about getting one or have not been approved for one. There are many as well who once had a Google Adsense account but for some reason were banned whether justly or otherwise. 

(5)   Some Triond writers have more than one Triond account

It is no secret that some (or many) Trionders have more than one Triond account. It does not appear to be against the Triond Terms of Service although I see how it can easily be abused. Could it be that  some Triond writers use Google Adsense on one Triond account and Chitika ads on the other? In that way they would get the best of both worlds.
