There used to be rumours going around saying that Google refused to pay it’s clients their Google Adsense revenue. It’s pretty sad to hear these complaints coming from some people I know. These people are publicly announcing that they are quiting the Google Adsense program because it is a scam. Now these kind of warnings would put anyone who is interested to sign up for Google Adsense to abruptly give up the idea.
With so many online scams happening everywhere, no one is really sure and so they thought. Fortunately I had done enough online research on Google Adsense on a number of people beforehand to ignore these warnings. Rather than arguing with the naysayers about it, I wrote an online article called Making Sense of Adsense in January 2010.
I stood by the facts that Google Adsense was a legitimate online program and that Google do pay their clients. After that, all I had to do was to be patient and start waiting. You know what, all that waiting finally paid off. Yesterday, I got my first check from Google Adsense for S$179.44. It’s not that much probably for some of you but I’m already looking forward to my future payouts from Google. Google Adsense is such an easy online moneymaking program. You earn money for doing almost next to nothing. Below is the check I received from Google.

You can choose in which currency to be paid in. I chose Singapore dollars, the currency of my country. Now I hope this would put the whole issue to rest about whether Google Adsense really pays or not. If someone starts accusing me of being a Google employee then I will tell them that there’s two kinds of people in this world: the believers and the disbelievers. The proof has been established. You decide.
Take Note:You require a personal blog or website to qualify for a Google Adsense account.

I believe you my friend. But I would like to ask you: how long did it take to get $ 179. Seems a nice sum doing almost nothing.
Congrats! Happy for you!
Patience, patience, pattience
good, very good, very very good.
too excited till spelled wrongly for “patience”, suddenly…
Nice share friend.. I am not for adsense… it rejects me for no valid reasons…
Congrats sharif..I m so happy for u..But tell me one thing i hav also signed in for the adsense but so far since just my earnings in adsense r 0.
can u help me?
I won’t disbelieve, because I got a payment too. When I had applied for a google account, I was staying with my daughter at Seattle, USA, so I gave that address. I received my first payment for approximately $120 3 months back. It is a US $ check and in a couple of months will receive my second check too. I don’t have a bank account in the USA and I have to cash it in India. I don’t know the rules, because currently once again i am in the US and will go to India next week.
The best part is all my adsense earnings are from Triond alone. My Triond adsense is better than earnings from Triond itself.
@Francois- It took me more than a year to build up traffic and get that amount. Having a website or blog helps a lot..
@StarP-Thank you StarP. Patience is important.:)
@Niyati Bhat- It varies from person to person. The best way is direct traffic from your blog or website to your Triond articles. If you have more blogs and traffic, the faster your adsense will grow. Mine only picked up in the last six months. I’m still working on it.
Uma Shankari-Thanks for your support Uma.I’m the opposite of you. My Adsense comes mainly from my website and some comes from Triond. This also proves that adsense works in different ways as well. Congrats to you and well done.
adsense surely not a scam site. they do paid their member. I already got 2nd payout from adsense after one year participated there. Congratulation on your payout anyway

My hand is down.Google adsense is not a scam; nor does it nurse intentions to do harm.Great job!
Of course it is not a scam or sham. I too have received payment several times and believe me it is a pretty sum.
It’s great to have all your support. This gives the confidence to fellow Trionders on what they are missing out on if they fear something that’s fabricated and untrue. Thanks so much friends.
Wow!…EXCELENTE NEW!….I like it
firstly my heartiest congratulations to you! this is such a wonderful news. i can feel your happiness and yes, i am a believer like you too. a really inspirational article. i would like to wish you continued success and more big payslips too. all the best, dear friend. i really enjoyed reading this beautiful article. three smiles from me.
It doesn’t pay well..but i dont think its a scam
It takes a long time to cash out, but I have earned decent money from it.
Well, congrats! And I think you have been writing killer headlines. I have always liked reading your articles but I think you also started doing wonders with your headlines.
Congrats again on your check! My balance is currently 30 bucks something, but that’s because I got freaked out by those arguements. I just decreased the number of ads I used from google.
It is not that I think google adsense is scam, but I don’t like the threshold being $100 and that their guidelines are depressingly strict. My point is, if I make $10 from an ad network and they refuse to pay, I will get pissed. But if an ad network waits for you to reach $100 and then not pay, that will just piss anyone a hell lot more. I think adsense can get more fans and less negative reviews if they ban people they want to ban immediately (before those people make them hundreds of dollars!) and pull the payment threshold level a little down. Just my humble suggestions:)
I’ll be putting up a couple of more sites and experiment with adsense more intensely and later write about whether I got paid or not. Glad you got paid, though:)
Well, you are luckier than I was. After months of being registered my Adsense payment still showed as nil and I pulled out. I’m wondering if it depends on where you live. As New Zealand ads show on my articles I don’t think there were enough NZers clicking them. I now intend going back and re-reading your article Sharif, thanks for the encouragement.
I think it takes time to learn Adsense.
It is not easy money. It involves a lot of hard work to build up to the minimum. After that, because you know more about writing for the Internet, it gets easier.
Thank you, Sharif. Well done documentation. I’ve been attempting to open Trionders eyes to how to easily build this revenue stream through my articles, How The Triond Community Can Increase Earnings Through True Friends and Writing is a Business at Triond.
Just know that I’m a true friend of yours. I’m going to link to your article.
Thank you.
Congratulation
Congratulation, Sharif. I learn something from this.
Congratulation
Google adsense does pay and it’s good that you have shown your check. Thank you.
Wow! That’s awesome. Congrats! I am not sure how adsense works. I believe it has to do with how many times someone clicks your ads. I had it and closed it because I was suspicious and didn’t make one penny. But I will probably give it a shot again. It’s a good amount of money and more than what you earn on triond
Catchy title. like it

Oooops! I don’t know how did this happen. It was showing ‘Internal Server Error’ while trying to post.
Google adsense is no scam.as you say, patience is a virtue. Patience also pays.
wow. cool. nice to know this. interesting article
Google adsense is not a scam but the pay out is minimal. good information.
Praise God, that’s wonderful keep the checks coming.
The high payout level is the main problem. I am still a long way from payout from my blogs on Blogger/Blogspot, but I feel confident that when the time comes, the money will come.
The more you publish the more you learn. All you need is 200 articles making £100 each and you have the means to give up your day job. Some people have the knack straight away, others (like me) have to learn by trial and error, most give up before they start earning.
You’re right. Google adsense is very legit. I have been paid by Google, too.
Thanks for the share…now, I’m confident of applying to Google AdSense.
Google is legit. You’re doing good with Google Adsense. Congratulations!
I trusted google adsense and they’re good payers. Congrats on your first check. That’s great!
I also got paid by Google and in a much safer way. That way is Triond rather than using my own site. People who have had their adsense accounts canceled probably used their own sites with not enough traffic and fans clicking too much on their adds. If Google thinks something is not right, although it may not be your fault, they will cancel your account. But yes, they will pay you if they find nothing wrong.
You can add your bank account to Google Adsense. It worked out well for me. You can see your statement of earnings proof in your account that you were paid.
I would like to add one more thing. You can see earning proof in your bank account and Google account.
Thanks for writing this
Thank you for the encouragement. I have learned in the freelancing business everything comes with time and experience. I will be patient.
Google AdSense is legit, but when I use it on Triond I experience a decrease in payout. I guess I don’t have enough page views to support it.
