The most searched words on Google are always changing, and Google does not provide a list of them, but you can compare words to each other.
Google provides a number of sites that claim to tell you what the most searched words on Google are, but they are just showing rapid changes in search patterns. In this article I will tell you about the only real Google tool that can help you discover what the most searched words on Google actually are.
There are many different Google tools, like Google Trends, Google Hot Trends, Google Insights for Search, Google Zeitgeist etc, but this is the only one I know of that provides actual search volumes that you can measure in numbers.
The Google Adwords keyword tool is the only real way to find out what the most searched words on Google are, and you have to come up with the idea for the words yourself, and type it in.
After a bit of trial and error, I worked out that (in January 2011), Facebook seemed to have the most searches on Google with a whopping 2,060,000,000 every month globally. That’s about 25 billion searches on Facebook in a year, and that’s not including the other search engines like Yahoo and Bing.
It’s also not including all the searches that are done on things related to Facebook. Facebook would surely have to be the most searched word on Google, but for the life of me, I can’t work out what comes next.
You Tube has almost a billion searches a month worldwide, around ten billion a year, so I would assume they would be right up there. Yahoo has about half a billion searches a month, a lot better than Bing.
Video as a word has 338,000,000 searches a month, which is pretty impressive for a word by itself, cause when I checked, sex had exactly the same amount of searches.
Video does better than porn, which has 277,000,000 searches a month, and God only has 20,400,000 searches a month worldwide. Justin Beiber gets more than that at the moment, at 30,400,000 searches a month.
Anyway, you can use the Google Adwords keyword tool yourself, and find out what the most searched words on Google are. It helps if you set up an account on Google Adwords so you can log in, but you can use it for free.
