By now everyone should know that they should not put all their eggs in the same basket. One can also do better financially by joining more than one online writing site. Each site has its advantages and disadvantages and rather than choosing one or the other it may be best to give more than one a try. The information I am about to share with you can be used to find similar sites, not just sites similar to Triond but sites similar to any other website that you might come across. There are other ways to find similar sites but this is the fastest with no need to have Firefox or any special add-on. It is so simple yet so productive.
All you have to do is type in your Google search bar the expression “related:URL” without the quotation marks. (If you have the Firefox SeoQuake add-on you will even see the PageRanks or PRs of all the sites but that is not absolutely essential). Here is an actual example. To find sites like Triond where you can write online type: related:www.triond.com

Who says that you have to stop at page 1 or page 2? Go on and find even more similar sites. Notice how little there is to weed out from your search results. It is like being handed your information on a platter. If you had typed in “sites similar to www.triond.com” you would have gotten nowhere really, only one reference to Associated Content and one to Webupon which is a Triond site. As they say “Knowledge is power.”

What we all want to know is – are there any which pay better?
If paypal is fully functional in your country there most certainly are those that pay better. Sadly, in my country you can only use paypal to pay and not to receive payment – how convenient
Some of the higher paying sites did not show up in the list. There is Brighthub, Wisegeek and About.com that pay very well. I have heard good things about DemandStudios at times. As far as I remember the sites I just mentioned (Brighthub, Wisegeek and DemandStudios) pay you hundreds of US dollars for assignments etc. and I think on Brighthub you get residual income besides that! There are those more like Triond like Hubpages which have more traffic. For some that means an increase in pennies for others that means hundreds of US dollars more. All those with a PageRank above 5 have a higher PageRank than Triond. As I commented elsewhere concerning Triond, there are those that do very, very well here. We just have to find out what works for us.
