SEO (Search Engine Optimization) can be done using many techniques. SEO is used to promote websites and articles through popular search engines. SEO has become so popular because millions and millions of peoples are using search engines every day to find information. SEO projects websites or articles to worldwide audience and promotes their business.

Many techniques are followed to carry out Search Engine Optimization. It is difficult to describe all the techniques in a single article. So I have planned to write an article on each SEO techniques. As the first part this article describes about article marketing. It is a famous technique used by many SEO experts. 

Article Marketing:

Article Marketing is the leading tool used by SEO experts. There is not much difference between ordinary articles and SEO articles. Article Marketing are always keyword oriented. This can be better understood by the following example.

Example:

Assume that a famous jewelers shop having a website. They are selling their jewels through online. In such case they need many customers to visit their website. This can be made possible by listing the website in famous search engines. No search engine recognizes or indexes the websites by itself we need to make provision for listing. Article Marketing gives helping hand in such situation. 

Peoples always use keywords to search the web. Keywords are short meaningful words. In our jewelers example the keyword will be “jewels” or “jewels shop” or “jewelers”. So people will use either of these keywords to search the web. In article marketing all we have to do is write a high quality article which involves the above mentioned keywords and the jewelers shop website URL. After finishing the article it should be submitted to free article directories. You may wonder how the article submitted to free article directories will be listed in search engines. The answer is free article directories are getting more web traffic then any others. So there is every chance of huge web traffic. As many peoples read the articles search engines starts to index website. Writing many articles about same website and submitting to different free article directories gives more fruitful results. You may think it as a slow process. Yes it is a slow process and takes few days (not months) to get positive results. But once indexed in search engines you can gain more benefits.
