Learn how to optimalize your website for search engines in 10 easy steps!

  1. Offer unique content. Write your own texts.
    Avoid text that has been duplicated from other websites.
    Search engines don’t like duplicate content.

  2. Be economical with meta-tags.
    Use concrete and aimed meta-tags.

  3. Use well known file names.
    Use generally known file names like index.html, index.asp, default.htm.

  4. Be economical with extern URL’s.
    A lot of extern URL’s lead visitors as well as crawlers of your own website.
    Try to limit the number of extern URL’s.

  5. Be generous with intern URL’s.
    Place a lot of links between your own pages.
    This way, crawlers can search your site deeper and map them better.

  6. Make all pages directly reachable.
    Use a sitemap to place all your websites pages in an order.

  7. Make sure you have an up-to-date homepage.
    Make sure there is up-to-date content that changes a few times a day/a week.

  8. Be careful using advertisements.
    Don’t overload your pages with advertisements, or the search engines will find your page too commercial.

  9. Stay non-commercial.
    By keeping up a non-profit appearance, you assure that the search engines find you website very sympathique.

  10. Make your content easy findable.
    The content of your website should be easily findable, even by search engines.
    Make sure you have a clean, straight HTML code.
