A search engine with humor that should be used with class.

Flipping through Digg the other night, I ran across something I thought was pretty funny. I do have a sense of humor as does any human being, so I thought to give it a try. I was unaware that Google had more then one browser, and learned this information the other evening while Digging articles of others. I am a firm believer to become a good member of Digg, not only to Digg your own articles but to Digg others.
This brings me to Mystery Google. A browser made as a joke, but does have the copyright symbol of Google on the bottom of page. You are viewing a search from the previous person searching. I thought why not give it a try and have a good laugh. I am doing some research on emotional abuse caused by people on the internet, so that is what I placed inside the search bar. What came up was a listing of sites based on sex. Please be cautious of what you might be viewing using Mystery Google, and should only be used if you are an adult. Nothing can be guaranteed of what is going to come up, since it is a Mystery.
I continued on after that first initial search hoping something more amusing might come up, and it did. In the search bar it said “I am only using this to see what sort of lame search is going to come up next.” I must admit it was quite the laugh I had on this end, because of the search I had found was quite lame. Here you can have a lasting effect on the next person to read it, and they decide to choose a sexual topic.
Some interesting ideas for Mystery Google would be as follows.
- Send them a greeting of good health
- Your own website to make a friend or even a new viewer.
- Some powerful message of poverty or famine.
- Give someone a lift of encouragement.
- Tell them a good and clean joke.
- Search for something enlightening about friendship, love or family values.
- Get creative and look up something intelligent, maybe a dictionary, or quote of Einstein.
I found the idea was quite unique, but you have to be careful who is using it and viewing it. Bad apples fall from every tree, and I most certainly had a taste of that the other night while using it. I was very disappointed that some did not see that young people could have access to that browser. Some will try to ruin the experience for others, by placing obscene ideas, gestures, or comments in the search box. Another option Google could consider is adding a filter to prevent them from coming up.
Mystery Google is for a mature audience only for the mean time.
