Mystery Google is almost like a party game. You can spy on their results, but do you dare let someone else see yours?
At first glance, Mystery Google looks like a regular Google search page, only blacker. But, what you search for won’t necessarily be what you get back. For example, say that I wanted to find discount meat lockers:
First, I’d hop over to Mystery Google:

Next, I’d enter my search term. Remember, I’m looking for discount meat lockers.

And I get… 9-11 conspiracy theories?

So, who is searching for 9-11 conspiracy theories? The truth is, I don’t know. And the person who receives my search won’t know who I am either. The website doesn’t compromise your identity. In fact, we don’t even know who created Mystery Google, as they choose to remain anonymous. It’s also important to say that your Google queries have not been compromised, Mystery Google users only see searches made by others using Mystery Google.
I can’t help but feel sorry for the poor guy who has now learned about my affinity for butchering and storing bodies meats. But we are all playing the game here, and I’m sure there are more queries even wackier than mine waiting to be discovered with Mystery Google. You may not get the results you wanted, but it is an excellent look into the seamy underworld that we all live in called the internet.
