My Factoidz Article Plagiarized on Triond

I’ve written and published a couple of articles for Factoidz on the last week of March 2011. To my surprise, one of the articles which I published on Factoidz on the 27th of March 2011 was published verbatim on Triond on the 28th of March 2011. My Factoidz article has been plagiarized by a Triond writer.

I’m so outraged that one of my articles “How to Get Top Google Ranking for Your Online Articles” has been plagiarized by a Triond writer. It was published on Triond and the article appears on the first page of Google search results page for the keyword phrase “how to get top google ranking” (with quotation marks). My original article has been removed from the results page.

However, Triond has removed the article from their website but you can still see the article if you click on “Cache” on the search result.

How can this happen? I thought Triond is very careful about publishing plagiarized material. How did this writer plagiarize my article and got it published on Triond? Now, I’ve been robbed of the organic traffic that I should get to my article. It seems that Google is not displaying my article on the results page but instead has displayed this plagiarized article.

I went to this writer’s profile page on Triond and guess what he/she wrote on his/her profile? “DO NOT COPY. All articles on this page are registered and protected with myfreecopyright.com”. He/She should follow his/her own advice.

Should I complain to Triond and seek compensation or get this writer banned from Triond? If this writer has plagiarized my article, I can’t be sure how many other articles he/she had plagiarized in the past. I don’t think that this is the first time he/she had done this.

Who is for banning such writers?

You should complain, I just hope they (triond) will respond. I have never gotten a reply back from them for any question asked, or even msg.. I do hope that you get some sort of refund. Too many thieves in inner space.

Windblower, use the GetSatisfaction platform. You have a better chance there to contact the admin rather than directly contacting them. I’ve complained about this to Triond. I hope the writer gets banned.

He/She should be banned right away. It’s ironic how a writer claims that he/she is against plagiarism but does it himself/herself. That writer-cum-robber should quit writing. I hope he/she gets to read this article.

hi there. it’s nothing new. i know the plagiarizer and the damn irony on his profile page. there are already a lot of Triond users who are this person’s victims. you must write Triond (if you still haven’t). and btw, all of that person’s articles are plagiarized. he writes nothing original.

Yes, absolutely. This writer must be banned from Triond and the internet, if that is even possible!

A triond writer we discussed in Mylot happens to copy articles from others. But she never gets banned. Triond just removed her articles. I am sorry to hear that your article got plagiarized. It feels painful. But do run a search at google to see if your any other articles got stolen. I am so scared of autobloggers.
