How to Get Hundreds of Triond Views with Minimal Marketing

Search Engines

Without any real SEO or marketing expertise you can still get hundreds of views on Triond daily even after Google Panda and Google Penguin. Find out how without going outside of Triond or using any software.

This one is for the little guy or gal who is struggling, making just 10 to 50 views a day on Triond and wondering when he or she will ever make 100 – 600 views consistently like his or her fellow Trionders. The veteran Triond writer who gets thousands of views daily through marketing techniques and SEO will perhaps smirk at this article but as I said this one is for the little guy who either does not know much about these things or does not have that much time to invest. You will find here what I wish I knew when I first started out on Triond.

The first thing to take note of is that not all Triond sites were created equally. What do I mean by that?

(1)   Some Triond sites will always have more traffic than others.

Your music article or your religious article may never get as many views as your article published on Socyberty, Healthmad or Webupon. I am not implying that you should not write these types of articles, in fact writing on Relijournal is commendable, but just make sure that you write articles that are published on those top three Triond sites as well.

Column B shows the present Google PageRank of the Triond sites while Column C shows the Alexa traffic rank.

You will soon see that all you need is four quality articles on Webupon or Healthmad without SEO and marketing to get as many as 600 views!

(2)   Not all of Triond’s sites have the “Top Ten Popular Articles List.

Socyberty has the most traffic of any site on Triond. Previously it also had the highest Google Pagerank of any Triond site too matching Triond’s PageRank with a 5. Now it has fallen to a “4.” However, unless you can get a lot of Google traffic to your articles there it is perhaps better to write on Webupon and Healthmad. (Note that Webupon has not always had this list so take advantage of it now. Try to send your articles to Webupon rather than Writinghood.)

Why did I say that Webupon and Healthmad are better than higher-placed Socyberty if you are not getting much Google traffic?

Here is the logic: Socyberty does not have one of those “Top Ten Popular Articles” lists, so if you cannot draw Google traffic and you are not a marketer your article is woefully dependent on being seen and read for the few minutes that it appears on your Triond friends’ newsfeeds.

Now that we got that out of the way, here is the meat:

(3)   What These Top Ten Popular Articles Lists Can Do For You

(a)   All you have to do is write a quality article with information that people really want to know about – something about their health or something that can really benefit them in their Triond experience. It only takes a few views and comments to get onto one of these “Top Ten Lists.”

(b)   Once you have one article there on that list write another article on a similar theme and once the first one was popular enough it tends to suck in your second article like a magnet. Write a third article and a fourth one doing the same thing, all the while making sure that you always have at least four articles on these lists. If you have all four on one website it is even better for you as it increases the chances of people choosing one or two to read if not all.

(c)    This is where minimal marketing comes in. After you publish that second article

put a backlink to it on your already popular article. When people read that first article that is already on the “Top Ten Popular List” they may be inclined to read another article by you. Your second article can then leap onto the list on the strength of your first article. Do this for every successive article so that every popular article helps the latest article to be popular too.

(d)   Once you have four quality articles there you do not necessarily need to write another article for a few days as you should be reaching your goal of a few hundred views. Do not take a break after the first article reaches onto the list. If you need a break take it after that fourth popular article. Try not to strive for more than four popular articles on any one Triond site as you may knock off one of your quality articles from its perch before time although some have known to appear and re-appear on the list. Articles on these lists usually stay there for about seven days. That is information to note as this is free advertising by Triond itself!

(e)    If you see that the seven day period is about to come to an end then start writing articles to be published on the same site. Your previous success tends to draw your new articles onto the list. If your article drops off the list before time it is time to get cracking and get another article out there. Always have a minimum of four articles on these lists at a time.

Here is a screenshot I shared some time ago to give an idea of what you should be targeting, the topics in red rectangles were written by me:

I used no marketing other than backlinking, no real SEO techniques except long-tail keywords and that was without any keyword software, no outside article promotion like Reddit, Stumbleupon, Facebook, Twitter, Craigslist, blog posts, no pinging, no Triond “you scratch my back I scratch your back deals” though I did comment spontaneously on other people’s articles and yet with the blessing of God and on the strength of four popular articles on Webupon I got 774 views one day and 648 views the other. Without writing for a few days the views remained in the hundreds once those four articles remained on the “Top Ten Popular Articles List.” Once they came off the list when the seven day period ended the views started dropping drastically until I wrote more articles that reached onto the list and they went up again. Use the information given here as well and see if it works for you. When it does use additional tools like those pointed out in this last paragraph and see if you can get thousands of views as well.

Hi, Shelpeare, we get maximum views when our articles are on popular list. What all traffic we get is mainly from Triond itself. This is not at all healthy.

This can’t continue for a long period. Unless Triond improves its Google ranking, things may get worse in future.

  2. shelpeare Says:

Yes I agree vijayanths but this article was not meant to be the be-all and end-all of getting views. It is just to get a base of views in the hundreds and the info in the last paragraph would take care of the Google traffic. This was just to get people’s feet wet who are not accustomed to getting beyond 100 views after so long and are are despairing that their friends are doing so well and they can only get a few views despite their best efforts.

  3. shelpeare Says:

Remember too that when we get articles onto the Top Ten Articles Lists and Google sends traffic to, let’s say Webupon, the reader is faced with this list of ten popular articles to read. So in this way we get Google traffic too whether directly or indirectly.

Now that I have had the time to read your article in detail, I would say, “Excellent Advice!” Thank you very much. What do you think about bizcovering, gomestic and notecook?

  10. shelpeare Says:

I would say aim for Webupon and Healthmad first and foremost as they have more traffic. When you have four articles or more on the lists there you can spread out to Bizcovering and Gomestic. Notecook has such a list too but it is on the left where you might not expect it and it is not as conspicuous due to the font. It is also #13 on the list as it does not get as much traffic as the rest of Triond sites. Unless you have good consistent Google traffic I would not make Notecook my priority especially as you need pictures to enhance your articles there. Do not get me wrong, submit your recipes but if you want traffic it is not your first step.

Great information Shelpeare. Personally I’ve had such top ten success this week on Beyond Jane. What I cannot figure is how I did so in the first place.

Sharing on Facebook etc. just yields a few loyal views for me. SEO leaves me cold. Am surprised Authonomy is so high up the list. Those top tens are a boon for such as me. Cheers.

Wow – what an amazing article. Thanks so much Shelpeare. You give me food for thought.

  13. vickylass Says:

It’s common sense. Those articles on social, controversial, health or IT are the most sought on-line, provided they’re well written, have a catchy title and offer really useful info. Where as, those on religious topics or creative writing don’t seem to be very much searched. Good info, though. Thanks!

  14. shelpeare Says:

Well, actually creative writing (Authspot) is relatively high up at #7 on this list while Newsflavor (politics etc) and Relijournal (religion) which can be quite controversial are low down at #15 and #21 respectively.

    Thank you for this.
