Tutorial to show you how to get a well ranked page in Google.

To get a good positioning in Google you need to follow simple steps. Many customers prefer amazing graphics and good-looking animations, and there is no doubt the customer rules over your business more than you do, but being well ranked is the first step to get more customers, so if you follow this tutorial you will DEFINITELY, get a well ranked site-

To obtain good results it is recommended you:

  • You have good content published. This is a key point, not only because of the up-rank, but also because the customer likes to see quality of work and a well organised site.

Clear and simple. Google wont  reward those sites who overcharge their site with graphics or that have unorganised content, but to those who keep there site clear and simple. But never forget the user of the page also wants good presentation and quality of contents.

  • Web technology. The dynamic contents are always a good rank-up for search engines. If you dispose of an area of content management and will make the updating task easier. In other words, the more you update your site (as long as you don’t do anything that will gets it penalized) the more “active” the search engine will think your site is and the higher in the list it will go.

Get links. To get a higher Page-Rank  you must get links going to your site from other websites, my advice is that you make friends with other sites of your category (e. g. you rent cars, make friends with people who have a diving club in the same region as you have your business) don’t link your site in guest-books and other posting services. So its simple:

Links to your site = higher page rank.

But

Spam-links to your site = Penalty (see next heading)

ALSO!: The higher the Page-Rank of the site that links you the higher prestige that link gets.

  • Don’t get Penalized. Google is penalizing all those sites who try to trick the Google-search-robot, to get a rank-up using techniques that where developed by Web-Masters to get passed Google’s strict robot. If you keep yourself up with those tricks and make sure your site isn’t using any of them should be enough to get your site clean of penalties.

Here are some tricks that have been developed by Web-Masters to get passed Google robot, (do not try them on your website or you’ll get “punished” by Google’s robot):

  1. Door-ways: consists of making an index full of gibberish and keywords, but with an instant redirection to the site with the understandable content. (don’t do instant re directions)
  2. Hidden text: consists of choosing your text colour equal to the background, hiding lots of gibberish and keywords to catch Google’s attention. (text colour = background colour = BAD)
  3. Cloaking: Many web-masters program their sites to send different content when it goes through Google than when it goes through a normal user. If the user saw what goes through the Google robot, it would be almost impossible to read, it would be like lots of keywords written randomly.
  4. Hidden links: Just like hidden text but with links. It doesn’t work either, so make sure you don’t have your links with the same colour as your background. (link colour = background colour = Bad). It is also considered a hidden link when you open a link href (<a href=”http://yoursite.com>) and you immediately close it afterwards (<a href=”http://yoursite.com></a>) with no Link-Text in between.
  5. Spam in web-logs:Web-Masters have been spamming on blogs and using the “title” option as keywords and the “name/email” option as their link. And then writing as a comment things such as: “Nice site”, or “I agree with your point!”.
  6. Selling links: Web-Masters with high Page-Rank, decide to make money selling links to other websites who wish to get more page-rank (a form of advertising). Google agrees with it as a form of advertising but not as a form of getting Page-Rank. That is why Google penalizes the site by making its links win no page rank.

I hope this tutorial has helped you, and that you now get more visits in your site from now on… Good luck my friend!
