How Does Google Adsense Work?

Listen to my understanding of know-how Google Adsense Works actually with Triond?

To facilitate better understanding,Lets take our Movie going Experience-There are 10 Moviemakers, who make movies in 10 different languages. After making their movies, in order to market and release, they meet a Theatre Owner, who owns 10 Theatres in 10 different cities.

The theatre owner agrees to release & market their movies in 10 different cities according to the local lingo,(of course he wouldn’t play a French movie in a place where people are non French.),and understandably, he strikes a deal with each moviemaker, that each time a movie is released, he should be paid.

Now theatre owner himself cannot run movies in all 10 different cities, so to manage his duties smoothly, he hires 10 different language speaking Theatre Managers, in 10 cities, and he individually assigns them the same task of playing different language movies as understood, and in turn he would be sharing some undisclosed part of the revenue (generated from every single viewer visiting the theatre to watch the movie,) with these Managers. I’m talking about audience buying tickets here. Needless to say, it’s easy to be a Owner, than a Manager.

The managers play  Hosts, and take the entire charge of  putting everything in place to work, which brings in the life, the audience i mean, a real slog of day and night. Now once the managers have done their assigned jobs, the audience will pour in to watch the movie.

And in intermission, the trailers of the other movies of the same language or a different language will be played and if someone from the audience choose, they  might want to watch that movie on the same day if played, or they will frequent their visits to know more about the other movies which interested them while watching the movie, they bought ticket for..So,with this movie watching experience, lets understand how-Trionders make money with Google Adsense.

Here, Movie Makers are the Advertisers

Theatre Owner is the Google,

Theatre Managers are the Website Owners, Publishers,Bloggers,(even, we Trionders. )

Audience is the Website User /visitor who clicks on  the Website, views the content and comments.

Lets start with Moviemakers, here Advertisers.

Google uses primarily 2 advertising programs

Adword (paid service used by advertisers) and Adsense (free service used by Website Owners and others).

In order to advertise ads on google, Advertisers use Adword as the source to create their advertisements and they pay Google to run them.

A little twist to understanding this would be, Just like moviemakers hire stars and the other crew to make a movie and Pay theatre owner to run the movie.

Now about the Theatre Owner, here Owner is undoubtedly The Google.

Google decides which movie should be played in which theatre, in the sense; the managers here are the Google Adsense Participants.

i.e. whenever a website owner or a publisher participates with Adsense, Google serves them with ad’s which they can place it on their content pages and these ad’s match their content on their website.

So, now u know that Webupon, Gomestic, Notecook, Quazan etc are all participants of Adsense with Trionders being their virtual Owners, with Triond being the actual host  as it hosts them, and hence all our articles are published according to Triond on them. Clear?

Now coming to the audience, whenever a website visitor visits Google Adsense’s Participant’s Website (eg. this website,Webupon,on which you’re reading this article) if they’re reading some content and along side if they see a relevant Ad, and if the visitor clicks on any of these Ads, then Google pays an undisclosed share of the revenue generated with the website owner which is PPC-Payment Per Click, and that’s how trionders make money. Got it?

Also, whenever you enter some word on the google search engine, for example if u enter “Triond”,the google search engine displays the results with respect to Triond alongside  with  lots of other Ads related to writing and publishing articles being displayed, this is because of the adword program which advertisers use for which they pay Google to advertise them, this also works on PPC(Pay Per Click).

Hope this Picture helps your understanding further

 Serious Warning:

If someone decides to click on his own website’s Ads in order to promote his Adsense earnings, and if Google identifies that click,Then Google will ban or terminate his account.

How?-Well just like you & me have unique names,Every computer carries a unique identity on network through which it can be identified, that unique identity is called IP address(Internet Protocol address).

Why Ban? –According to the Terms & Conditions of Google, It’s free for Manager to watch the movie in his own hall where he is hosting the movie ,So why should Google Pay you? Hope i makes sense!

Now,with this Post,i’m going to enable Adsense and extract the benefits of writing this article.

Thanks for Good Reading!

Adsense told me i’d violated their rules – took my money away and knocked me off their system. i wrote to them. They never wrote back – I’m still pondering over WHY they did that! I broke no rules as far as I know. I had about £!5 stored with them, never to be seen again. As you might gather, I’m not a fan of ADSENSE!

    Thanks Vinaya,

    @sheila,

    Dear Sheila,
Its unfortunate that Adsense has terminated your account.

But it may happen that while we’re reading our own published article and if by mistake while scrolling down the page,if we ‘clicked any of the displayed Ad even once and if that click is tracked by Google,,then it terminates saying the rules of terms and conditions are violated, which may not occur to our notice.

Hence its a good idea to w/d the money from Adsense as soon its shown,if they have no minimum withdrawal limits imposed.
    Hope this helps.

  11. There have been several complaints in regard with Google Adsense. Most writers mention that their account gets terminated even though they are not involved in illegal activity. It’s sad.

They can terminate you anytime and give you no reason,. In fact they will not answer your inquiry. I don’t know what they are up to. I was terminated when I had almost a hundred dollars owed me which they did not pay. Of course they did pay me well before I was terminated.
