Every now and then you might hear a story (usually see an ad) about somebody who claims they are making thousands of dollars per month on the Internet. Some say they make this blogging, others say they make this on content farm websites (such as Triond), others claim to make fortunes off of paid to click websites and so forth. Is it really that easy?
The answer is NO!
Every few days somebody sends me a message (in fact I just got one yesterday) asking “How much money are you making on Triond?“. Indeed my answer is “A lot less than I use to be making.” The reason for this is twofold, I have found myself being busier on other sites where I find I make more money, and Triond was hit hard by the Google Panda changes that result in Triond pages being indexed lower on Google’s search engine than they were in the past.
This is not to say you cannot make money on the intenet, you can, it is just not as easy as it sounds.
I started a few blogs just over a year ago. I contributed to them regularly but after only earning pennies I have been less committed to them lately.
I wrote for Bukisa a lot, and did okay for a while, but they too were hit by the same Google changes that affected Triond. They pay to Paypal.
I was earning very well on Helium (over $300 a month), but they changed their payment plan and I was getting less than half of what I had been, so really cut back work on that site too, and as a result am earning less than $30 a month on that site. They pay to Paypal.
I joined Factoidz and found it tricky at first, they are more picky about what they accept. However I am now making over $200 a month with them and know some users are making well over $500 a month there. They pay to Paypal
I joined WebAnswers, the site where I continue to earn the most, with one of the top users making $700 a month! Again it requires regular work to make money. They pay to Google Adsense.
One of the things I was unaware of when I started on the Internet was that it is not just a matter of writing an article and sitting back waiting for money to roll in, you actively have to promote your article to get views on it, and remain active on the site, most people will not see a steady stream of income on any site unless they are active.
I just do not want to fool people into thinking that making money online is as easy as they may think, it can be done, but should be done because you enjoy it. Do not quit your day job just yet, build up your income first!

You are right, it isn’t as easy to make money on the internet as so many ads proclaim. You are also right in the fact it takes work and patience. I have been slowly increasing my monthly earnings over the past two years, and have also gained an understanding as to how things work. I have read books and articles on making money, but the key is you still need to work at it. One cannot set up a website or blog and expect it to make thousands if you are not willing to update it. Thank you for setting the record straight. Have a great day!
Thanks for this info ma\’m, I will check those sites where I haven\’t signed in yet

I have come to the same conclusion: it’s hard work.
I knew someone who earns really good in article writing ..

I have to agree. The most I have ever made was $230 in a month. I generally earn about $60 a month but since Jan it has been barely $20. Sites just aren’t paying what they use to. It is again as you say how well you work it and how much time you have to put into it. I now write for fun and take whatever money I make as extra income.
This is one of the best articles I’ve read on triond. Very informative and helpful. I totally agree. Keep it up.
This seems to be very true. No one can make anything without a lot of hard work put forth, even if its for a bit of change here and there. Still earning more than $0.00 is a nice thing. Even accumulating just a little bit, it’d be nice birthday or Christmas money… but its good to see articles like these telling the truth that without some sort of constant effort ones payoff may be very minimal. Thank you.
