Hi! I am a stay at home mom badly in need of an income. I have access to the internet and my own laptop. I can’t do an office job because of the kids.
Do you really think, I can make something on Triond? And how? Please advice:
I would appreciate honest replies to this topic.
How much can you make on an average on Triond?
How long does it take to get started?
How much time would you need to put in on a daily basis?
Who uses Triond?
And what are the level of writing or knowledge skills you need?
What are the other ways to make money on the internet?
Everytime I google to the above queries and similar topics, particularly the “making money online” query I am assaulted with answers which somehow seem too easy to be true. I need some real answers please…
Thank you for your comments.

Much like anything, you must work your as off. Writing articles, meeting friends, reading their articles, getting your articles to the search engines. If you have good material, you can make it. Some people have made a ton on triond. Many of them are doing good to make 100 a month.

thanks for the feedback william! I suppose there are many of us out here with the same dream. Few succeed!

Hello
what you need to do is work hard and publish alot of work. Read other peoples work so that you can get an idea of what to write about. Dont forget to comment on peoples work so that they can return the favor. You can also earn more on google adsencce. Create an account with them. Obove all be patient and youll see your earnings increase.
Good luck

I am in the same boat as you, stay at home that can’t work, If you figure it up you will get an average of a penny per 10 views. So it does take a lot of views to make some serious money.I say get about 100 good articles posted as fast as you can and then you can slow down some. And as everyone else said making friends and actually reading and commenting on their articles will help a lot. It’s kinda like a return the favor thing. Google adsense is also a good way to help you get more, but it all does take time and effort to get your name out there and get the views.

How much can you make on an average on Triond?
This is a tough question to answer, especially since “average” requires the input from many Triond users. I’ve seen people getting 1 cent a month to $200 dollars a month. For me, I usually get around $15-$30, but it grows every month so I’m expecting to reach $100 a month by mid 2012.
How long does it take to get started?
Just as long as it takes to write your article. Submit your piece of writing whenever you are ready, and it should take no more than day for the screening process to finish. The first article is always the longest to screen, but after that you should be able to publish articles flawlessly.
How much time would you need to put in on a daily basis?
It depends on your goals. Keep in mind that for Triond there is no fixed income. The more you write, the more you’ll earn. If you were to write one good article every day for a month (which shouldn’t be more than 30 minutes), with each of them getting 10 views initially, and then 1 view every day, you will get about 765 your first month, which is roughly $1.
Now next month, you’ll start off with 30 views every day, and if you follow the same pattern with 30 additional articles for the month you’ll get 1665 views, which is roughly $1.75-$2.00. Of course, these estimates are extremely low. I get about 500 views a day and I’m only on my third month on Triond.
Who uses Triond?
Mostly at-home moms (such as yourself), broke college students (me), people in other countries, and a wide-variety of people that just want to make some earnings online.
And what are the level of writing or knowledge skills you need?
What are the other ways to make money on the internet?

Well apparently I forgot to answer the rest of the questions. My bad! Here you go:
And what are the level of writing or knowledge skills you need?
Anything, as long as it’s your own work. I know people here who write in their own language and translate it using Google Translator, and are still making a profit. Is it unethical? Perhaps, but it gives you an idea of what Triond expects.
What are the other ways to make money on the internet?
Oh, this question is another topic altogether. I’ll send you a message.

I believe that it is hard but it is possible. It all depends on how much traffic you can attract. See Nelson Doyle’s earnings on Triond and then you will have a better idea of what is possible: http://webupon.com/web-talk/incredible-triond-earnings-nelson-doyle-reveals-real-earnings-and-proves-triond-pays/

By the way, Brighthub.com, About.com and Wisegeek.com pay writers upfront wages instead of pennies. Your income is sure if you write for them but they only pay through Paypal.

There is plenty of good advice in the previous comments. I am at home on disability, and there isn’t much more that I can do except write for a few hours a day. I have been here for 3 years, I have almost 500 articles published on Triond, and I have made a total of about $100 in that time. I signed up for Google Ads a little over a year ago. This allows you to have Google ad on your Triond articles along with the ads that Triond puts on them – makes sense, yes?
Our earnings depend on the advertising revenue that our work pulls in. Triond pays the writer 50%, Google pays 60%. On Triond, you can request payment by cheque or Paypal. If you choose cheques, the minimum payout is $50 which means you have to wait until your earnings have accumulated this much before they will send payment. If you choose Paypal, the minimum payout is 50 cents. Google only pays through Paypal (this is a problem for people in some countries, but the US and Canada are OK). Their minimum payout is $100. If you stop writing, or get banned by Google before you have made $100, you forfeit your earnings. The most common way to get banned is by clicking on your own ads or using illegal means to increase your page views.
There are trade offs you need to know about. Because your pages will have fewer Triond ads, Your Triond earnings will go down. There is potentially more money made with Google ads, but it all depends.
Some Triond’s sites generally earn more revenue than others, for example, Notecook (recipes), Authspot (poetry, short story, and autobiography/blog style writing), and Relijournal (Religious writings of all faiths plus atheism) are 3 sites that make the least. The sites that make the most are Healthmad, and stuff about computers – gaming, and business.
There are people who make decent money here, like Nelson Doyle. He knows a lot about promoting his work outside of Triond. If your readers are mostly your own friends or Triond friends, it is very hard to make a living here.
I hope this doesn’t dissuade you from posting here. I have not earned much money here, but I have made friends with other Trionders around the world. We have an amazing world wide community of writers here, and I love getting comments and advice from other writers.

I am on triond for 4 years and have an abundance of articles the key is the more you write the more you earn. There are many loyal friends make as many friends as you can work together an average earning on triond is $18 per month depending on how you promote your work as a writer myself I know how to gain an income. SEO IS VERY IMPORTANT

Can you make a living? Well it first depends on how much money that actually means. I’d say not a chance if you’re talking about a decent living wage in a developed country (say $1500 a month or more). But if you live somewhere where you can live on a twentieth of that then there’s at least some chance.

Actually the important aspect here is quality rather than quantity. Write good quality pieces that drive the imagination and people will look at what you write. I earn every month from Triond, but cannot even consider giving up my day job to do it, this is also true for every we-site that I write for. Yet earnings build over time – you certainly cannot expect instant results, but keep plugging away and people will take you seriously.
BTW – you are best writing non-fiction pieces rather than poems of story snippets as the internet market is primarily focused on non-fiction and most writing sites pay less for fictional articles.

Write write and write and add a Google as sense account to your account. You can double your money that way.
January 25th, 2012 at 10:39 am
Good luck! I do this mostly because I enjoy it. I find causes to give the money too. I have not kept any of my earnings thus far. God Bless!

I have been on Triond for some years now and when i first started I was making one tenth of what I am making now. With perseverance you can increase your earnings month by month but it is hard. enough to live on. No way!
January 31st, 2012 at 2:33 pm
One perhaps could, but let’s face it their dealings aren’t clear. More often than not views on an specific article don’t match with the revenue collecte on it. If I count all the views I’ve had since I started here, I should have a lot more earnings. I should have already had a first payment, which I haven’t yet. Shall I need to say more? It isn’t so much for the 5 Cent a view, but other ways and dealings that in my opinion Triond should get to the point and try to change if they want to stay as a good writing network.

Love to write here, don’t give up your day job ^_^
April 30th, 2012 at 3:19 pm
It takes a lot of hard work and so much patience. I don’t think that it will ever get to a point where you would be able to make a living writing here.
May 1st, 2012 at 5:24 pm
Its just not that easy. Trying to make money here is quite difficult.
May 10th, 2012 at 5:32 pm
What a refreshing approach to getting answers to your questions. Good for you.
May 19th, 2012 at 2:06 pm
We are in the same boat Avissado. Both of us want to know, how is everyone else accomplishing this. Yet, my pages aren’t able to draw many clicks. Search engines have everything to do with it and I don’t know how to set this up. Good luck!
