When creating a website, the first thing you must do is calculate the amount of visitors you can count on. There are some thorny units here but you can do.
We assume that you are in this position know what keywords you want to focus on (choose your keywords is also something that needs to be done but it is a bit too complex for that is discussed in this article). You need to make an estimate of how many people are searching on the keyword. Until it can be suggested you use Overture. Overture is an advertising network that can be used by Yahoo! and is therefore a little bad in Sweden. Yahoo! has a very small market share in Sweden. Therefore, it may be reasonable to make cross-references to Google Trends, a tool that does not give any figures but they may show volumes in relation to each other.
Once you figured out the total traffic on a term is to estimate what level you can expect to achieve. Do you know that you can get one? If you expect first place, you can expect to receive 42% of the total traffic (according to AOL). A second command about 12% and a third place 8.5%.
Calculate the value per visitor
If you had a little traffic on your site earlier, this is a rather difficult step, but if you had a visitor past, it is very easy. What we should look at first is the conversion rate. The conversion rate is the extents to which visitors do you want them to do on the page (the proportion of those who buy, click on the ads or scriber up to the newsletter). There is no more difficult than it is about to produce a percentage. If you then know that you have a conversion rate of 4%, you can count on. If it is about to buy something, it is very clear, you know how much each one is acting for, and if you take out a cut at it and takes 4% of the sum you get the value per visitor (perhaps you can like to count the costs associated with the sale).
Profitability
Now that you have the value per visitor, just take the two numbers and multiply, you have already figured out how many visitors you will get.
