Finding the differences between search engines with the latest being Bing.

A lot of buzz has been crossing the globe with the new search engine Bing. I did my research and discovered one thing about this new search engine is that more results that you want come to the surface. For instance I Binged my name lindalulu and was amazed at what popped up. All of the threads and articles I have written. I have done the same on Google but not the same results. Maybe it is because Bing is new and does not have as many results till date I’m not sure.
I have been unusually busy this summer and that is one reason I have not been reading as much as normal. I try to keep my head above water but it has not been very successful. In my search on Bing I also discovered threads from other people’s articles including one I had yet to read by Allison West. Allison had written an article on Triond with the name” Six Inspirational Writers For Summer 2009.” I was honored to be mentioned in her article and made sure to leave a comment and also I stumbled the article to all of my friends on Stumble Upon. Bing had made the difference in my search. I found something new from a friend and loved it! Allison you are also one of my fave writers on Triond!

When I searched my name in Images I was once more amazed that all of the pictures I have in all of my articles appeared! Not one of them but ALL! I did the same search in Google and ya my pics came up but it took longer to find them and it seems they are all not there. Videos was not coming up on Bing but My Montage for Triond did. Which by the way Triond would not let me post it because they said it was too much self promotion, so if you would like to stop by and leave a comment on You Tube please do.
I guess the bottom line is which search engine you like better. If you haven’t given Bing a try why not do so. It is a nice search engine and I do find myself going there more than I search Yahoo which does happen to be my home page. Google is still my top search engine and who knows maybe always will be, but I’m always up for a new challenge.
The buzz on the web is maybe Bing will take over and succeed Google, will it? I am not sure, stranger things have happened but Google has also been around for along time and we all know and trust it well.
Whats your opinion? Did you do a seach and find something you did not know was out there like i did?

Bing vs Google, i dont know which is best, all i know is bing is running all the hot advertisement. i would not be suprised if google revamps and launches some new up to date service to compete with bing.

Competition keeps one sharp & benefits the consumer. I have to agree with Juan.

Linda,
Yeah I have heard Bing is the next big thing in search engines. Whether that comes to the fore is another thing. Nice work.

Ive just tried a search in the two sites of my name, the bing search returned my triond profile first and google returned facebook. I know what I’ll be using in future x

I think it depends on how you plan to use it. If you’re a blogger, Google page rank is key. But, to develop more traffic, you still want to spend some time getting indexed with Bing.
