Search Engines

Good search Engines.

You google stuff. You “yahoo” stuff. BUT! Which search engine is better and more efficient? I’ll give you tips about choosing the right engine and preventing viruses.

Rank 4

MSN.com search engine is pretty efficient, but can be challenging to use. It’s simple interface makes it faster than google or yahoo. The only disadvantage about this engine is that it’s not that easy to find. Still, I sometimes use it, since it also shows results directly from the MSN homepage.

You might not have heard about this search engine, but it’s pretty useful. It’s called http://mamma.com This search engine contains ALL Search engines, including Yahoo, Google, and MSN. Pretty neat, huh? It’s really comfortable to use, since it ONLY has a search engine. You can even search up stuff like Yellow Pages, or other cool things Google can’t. The only disadvantage is that it’s somewhat slow. That’s probably why this engine isn’t first place.

http://ask.com

This website is also useful, and is the creator of http://dictionary.reference.com  ALL of you must have heard about this dictionary. Well, they also have a search engine. This engine is INCREDIBLY fast, efficient, and comfy to use. THE only reason it wasn’t first was because of the format of the page. In my opnion, this search engine can look “cooler” and better than it was. Google is slightly better, and is probably the ONLY reason Google made 1st place.

Quality: 4.5/5      Speed: 4.5/5

Rank 1

OK, I have told you already. Google is first, but only because of two reasons: One, it’s a margin of a milisecond faster, and two, it’s more “cool” looking, considering it changes the GOOGLE logo. For instance, the Perseids meteor shower. It was changed to meteor style logo during the shower of meteors. Overall, Google is nice and efficient.

Quality: 4.5/5     Speed: 4.75/5 (See? A margin of victory)

Well, hope this guide helped you! I can bet most of you haven’t heard about Mamma, but it’s a pretty good engine. Happy searching!
