Why Most People Don’t Make Money Online with Their Content, Blog, or Website

Do you wish you had more money? Do you talk about how you’re wishing you made more all the time? Do you have plans of how to spend it when you make it? But, you’re not making the amount of money you wished you had, are you? This is typical of most of us, and I understand the frustrations quite well. Why should some people give up on the attempts of making money online? What can you do to change yourself into an online winner?

-Most people don’t have the drive it takes.

To be successful with your writing or website, it takes a high level of drive. This is not an easy way to make money, very few make it big at this as it is. There is so much work that goes into writing, getting the content online, or updating your websites. I think certain jobs take a special person, and this is no different. If you like being in control and working for yourself, it probably means you are higher driven than most. But, you need to put that drive into use on a consistent basis to see results. And, that drive has to keep your spirits up too when things are going bad, because it may take a lot of time before you see any positive results.

-You’re not coming up with any good money making ideas.

Each of my websites “specializes” in a topic. This allows me to categorize what I’m working on, so that when people visit my site, they are getting what they came there for. My topics are my passions foremost, but I’ve learned what ideas are hot and which lag. If we are doing this for money, we need to focus more on the “hot topics,” or we’ll starve. In order to keep people coming back, you may need to rely on some creativity at times. It’s very important that you keep up on the latest in your industry, you bring people knowledge on your topic, and more importantly you keep coming up with new ideas to make money.

-Are you a believer?

Some people seem “wishy washy,” as I call it when it comes to certain things. With trying to make money online, you’re either in or you’re out. You can’t be mushy when it comes to doing this, because you need to posses a certain level of hunger to succeed. If you don’t dream big, you’ll never get big. Sure, this is hard work and it takes so much dedication to make a living off of it, but if you’re a true believe and this is your passion, you’ll make it happen. It’s important that you keep being a believer, because if a disappointment can send you packing up, this is not for you.

-Only the rich get rich.

This is a funny one! Why do some people always assume it’s just the rich getting richer? It’s not only them getting richer, there are average everyday people with a dream making it big too. It’s not just lottery winners, it’s the hard working people that turn a dream into a reality. I don’t want to win the lottery, because I’d rather work for it. Doing this is my passion, and I want to reap the rewards when I reach my Millions one day, my way, through hard work. Some people give up when they think something seems impossible. You shouldn’t look at what someone else has or is doing, you can’t let those outside things influence you like that. You need to be happy and do what appeals to you. By thinking things like only the rich get richer, that‘s a defeatist attitude, and you’ll continue living a mediocre life.

  1. You’ve discussed some very good points to consider as a writer. I agree, as you have said, one cannot be “wishy washy” about it. It’s all hard work. I like that comparison with a lottery winner. Well-said. Great post!

  2. you are so right about having the drive behind doing this… and, this is not for everyone I agree….I hope I can be one that succeeds … good write, thanks
