There are two different types of online jobs that teens can do. The first is data entry, the second is survey taking.

Data-Entry:

Data entry is entering data into data bases for componies, there are two different types of data entry, one is online data entry, where you get information from a company through e-mail, and you enter it into a data base. The reason companies pay you to do this is becouse they do not want to do it themselves, so they pay other people to do it for them. The other is offline data entry, this is where you get information on paper then you enter it into an online data base. Payment is usually by how much you do, so if they payed you 30$ for every 2500 words you typed in (which is usually how much they pay you) and you did 3 projects a day, you would get 2,700 dollars every 30 days.

Survey taking:

This is not recomended but if you want to do it you can try. When you take online surveys you fill out forms with personal information and they pay you anywhere from 25 cents to 2 dollars. Some surveys take 5 seconds, where you just need to add your email and confirm it. Or 15 minutes, where you must go through a huge list of advertisements. Beware: It might feel like you will never reach the end, and when you do, some offers don’t even pay, this is why data-entry is recomended over this.
