Triond Article Revenue: Better Bet Than One-Time Payments?

Money Making

Looking at your total article earnings as compared to one-time article payments.

Many of us have found a comfortable writing corner at Triond. We submit our articles and watch our monthly Triond article revenue grow; however, how does total Triond article revenue stack up when compared to one-time article payments for online articles?

First off, one-time article payments are relative: one person might make $5.00 for a 500-word article; another might earn $20.00 or more. Generally speaking, though, one-time payments for online articles tend to be on the small side.

This article is not discussing payments from print publications, which are usually higher. Seasoned freelancers have a good idea of pay rates offered via print markets but may choose to create online content for sites such as Triond because the payment comes in on a regular monthly basis, over waiting months hear if an article has been accepted for publication in a magazine and then waiting months again for payment.

Total Triond Article Revenue

I’ve been writing for Triond for two years so I can offer insights about total Triond article revenue and how it stacks up to one-time article payments. The following is a listing of total article revenue on some of my Triond articles. We’ll look at four of the highest figures for Triond article revenue and four of the lowest figures.

Articles 1-2 years old:

  • $36. 34
  • $29.90
  • $26.06
  • $21.29

Now, let’s take a look at articles that have been published under one year:

  • $7.96
  • $2.55
  • $1.98
  • $0.51

It can be seen from these figures that writing articles for Triond can be a good long-term undertaking. For the most part, my total Triond article earnings have netted me more than I would have been paid through a one-time payment for a 300-500 word article. It does take time for earnings to add up but for writers who are willing to create a large article base and to give it time, the potential earnings make this a worthwhile undertaking.

Triond article revenue is one of the reasons that newer and seasoned writers choose to write for Triond but other factors come into play.

  • Triond articles continue to earn revenue
  • Authors choose their own topics
  • Authors choose article lengths
  • Authors choose when to work
  • Authors choose how much to work

All of these factors make writing for Triond an attractive undertaking for writers who like the flexibility of working when they want and in determining just what they’ll write. Triond article revenue adds up over time.

Great article – - I also like to look at it in “book selling” terms – for example, the average book sells for $10 and if you have made $300 in a year from Triond – - that’s like selling 30 BOOKS. That’s an amazing accomplishment.

And, it’s something that only grows with time… effort, there are NO limits to your success!

    Blessings.

    Sincerely,

    -Liane Schmidt.

    Hello Everyone,

Hmm . . . don’t know what happened with the formatting glitch. I’ll go in and tweak.

Thanks for your support. I think it helps to offer actual figures so that others can see what is possible.

Great article, Athlyn! I love your writing tips — so clearly written with excellent examples and data. Nicely done!

Yes, we have to look at long term $ from our articles here. I was making anywhere from $2.00 to $20.00 for my work on a write and buy site. That is great, but it is a one time payment, you loose the rights to your work, and it may take hours to complete just one text request. You are also taxed on the income. So, when you compare the two, Trionds small but steady wins out- at least for me.

    Another great read. Buzzed!

    Hi Jo,
I agree. I think Triond offers a better deal to writers. You do have to work at it but it makes sense over time.

  14. Izzy Daniels Says:

You bring up some good points here. I do have amajor question though… What about services like Associated Content? They offer you up front payments along with performance payouts. Wouldn’t that be better than the money you make with Triond?

  15. Athlyn Green Says:

    Hi Izzy,
I’ve heard from some writers who have done well with Associated Content and certainly for those who live in the U.S. this would be another opportunity.

Being from Canada, I don’t know the ins and outs of Associated Content but I do encourage writers to work a number of writing gigs.

Trying a number of opportunities helps writers to find preferred fits for their writing.

some good tips… thanks for this!

  17. SHAF MASTA Says:

Triond is great because you earn residual and the earnings can surpass your one-off payments if you do well!

  18. Athlyn Green Says:

    Hi Shaf,
Yes, I agree. Article earnings can hit a nice amount over time. and if writers can produce articles regularly, then they have a better chance of higher long-term earnings.

I also like the sound of Associate Content as Izzy mentioned. It seems that an author can earn in a couple of ways by writing for AC.

I also like HubPages for this very reason.

This is encouraging. My “best seller” is about to hit $2.00 after being up nearly a year, but some of my more recent stuff is building up faster–mostly because I understand more about targeting topics.
