Money Making

A few quick tips to help you sell your products on the net.

Sick of relisting your products over and over? You may not be listing your auction in a quality manner, here i’ll point out the do’s and don’ts to online trading.

Do’s:

  • Always have a basic catching title. Example: ‘New Sony 42″ Plasma TV’, or ‘::NEW:: 42″ Sony Plasma TV (LCD)’.
  • Always have the brand and model in the title so don’t have ‘42″ TV’, have ‘42″ Sony Bravia’.
  • You can add in if new a little symbol to represent it, like ‘NEW’ or ‘>>NEW<<’.
  • In your body, have an intro around 2-5 lines long containing the condition, features, opinions (Good!).
  • Add bullet lists or similar, you should have lists showing what the buyer gets, what the faults are, what the features are.
  • At the end always show a few terms, like ‘no refunds’ or ’sold as is’, then follow with your name. Example: Thanks for viewing, Matt.
  • Also always have a picture of the product AND it is one you have taken of that product.

Dont’s:

  • You should avoid complex titles like ‘!!!!-***NEW*** Alcatel Cell Phone-!!!!’ due to the websites search engine may not like the symbols and therefore lower your ranking in searches.
  • Include long boring speeches of information, instead order them in bullets!
  • Use product pictures from the net that aren’t yours.
  • Go straight into the faults, this can make people leave your auction quickly without reading some possibly good points.
  • Have slang in your text, keep it formal otherwise some buyers may think your going to be lazy in the process.

These are a few tips, another way to encourage and get more buyers would be to pay for gallery and featured listings, these are definetly recommended to attract more bids.
