Three Ways to Make Money Online

Money Making

Idle time on the net can earn you extra cash.

1. Get rid of your stock

How to: Put old stuff up for sale instead of letting them get moldy in your closet. Niche itema such as comics, toys, very old records and gadgets have a relatively fast turnover rate. Check out Bid Shot, eBay, and PinoyExchange.com for deals.

Caveat: Bidding and putting items on sale usually lose to just meeting up in person on an agreed time and place to make the deal. Bidding for stuff online takes time, and the competition can actually end up turning you off from making sales and purchases.

Suggestion: Try community specific online forums. You may have better luck selling a Macintosh at http://philmug.ph or an iPod at http://podcentral.ph. If you have a Palm OS unit or accessory for sale, you can go to http://mapalad.org and log into the marketplace.

2. Blog your way to big bucks

How to: Professional bloggers can earn about US $17,000 a month! Blogspot includes an option to link to Google Ads account and get paid whenever someone avails of the service being advertised. You could also apply as a resource person for sites like About.com, where they are in need of writers who are experts in fields like technology, health, etc.  Triond.com is also one of the best paying site, you can check mine at http://www.triond.com/users/CutestPrincess.

Caveat: You must blog regularly, at least five times a week. Get out LiveJournal or WordPress.com, because these sites don’t monetize. You should also get your own domain.

Suggestion: Don’t blog for the money, but because you love to write. The money will just seem like a nice extra.

3. Put your business online

How to: If you have an existing business and would like to generate a buzz, put it online! Creat an account on networking sites, like Multiply or MySpace. Post photos of your products, and get loyal costumers to write testimonials. You can also post schedules for events, tract the people who visit your site, and use it as a forum for costumer feedback.

Caveat: Allowing people to order merchandise online might seem like a good idea, but options for e-commerce in the Philippines are limited. Post contact info and meet them in person for any transactions.

Suggestion: Consider investing in your own domain. It looks more professional when you can add a www.yourbusinesshere.com to your business card.
