Payment Suggestions for Triond

Money Making

A selection of my personal suggestions for Triond relating to payments.

The vast majority of writers here on Triond will have experienced the joy and pride of receiving their first cashout. For a select few, there is a metaphorical gold mine worth of royalties to be earned on Triond. Last month, I received my highest cashout in a long time: $17.66. This month, I’ve almost broken $25.00 already. I expect to finish the month just shy of $30.00. For me, at least, that is quite an accomplishment. There is nothing more satisfying than receiving my email from Triond on the 10th of the month, letting me know that I’ve been paid my past month’s earnings. With that in mind, I have some suggestions for Triond that could make the experience all the more enjoyable for the writers.

Pick Your Payout

I would love to have the ability to pick when I get paid out. I should be able to set a figure, that once I surpass, Triond will then pay me the following month. While having fully customisable figures might be a bit of nuisance, there should be some preset values that users can select from. For example, PayPal users should be able to select from a range of values, such as $0.50, $1.00, $5.00, $10.00, $25.00, $50.00, $100.00 and $250.00. That way, people have the choice of saving up their money to receive one massive payment. I imagine a lot of the higher earning users could save up during the year, and then receive a payout of over $500.00 in one go just before Christmas (on December 10th).

Delay Your Payment

This ties in with the above suggestion. Instead of setting a limit, you should have the option to put your payment on hold. This way, you can then choose whatever month you want to receive your payment. This would be useful for people who might not want to bother with receiving $0.80 per month to their PayPal. It also means because can delay their payments if they are having any issues with their PayPal account or any other payment account.

Give The Money Elsewhere

This option probably wouldn’t be utilised very much, but some generous people on Triond might choose to be nice to others. We should have the ability to give our money to another user, or some charity, if we choose. This would be especially useful for users who say that they aren’t in Triond for the money, but would still be able to ensure that the royalties that they do earn would go to some benefit. They could be given to a writer who can’t seem to increase their earnings on Triond, as a generous boost and encouragement, or to a charity as a contribution.
