An in-depth analysis of my Triond earnings this year.
I’ve decided to write this article to help people to understand how to increase their earnings on Triond. I’m going to examine my monthly earnings on Triond, how many articles I had published at the beginning of each month and how many I wrote during the month. You’ll then be able to see how much you should be able to earn per article, per month, and how much of an effect writing new articles has on your old articles. On to the statistics.
January 2009: $3.69
Beginning of month: 84 Publications (82 Articles + 2 Pictures)
End of month: No change (no new publications)
As you can see, I earned roughly $0.045 per publication in the month of January 2009. I published no new articles during this time, meaning that these are true long-term views. When I published more articles in later months, I found that older articles got a short boost in views, because people found them from my newer articles.
February 2009: $4.49
Beginning of month: 84 Publications (82 Articles + 2 Pictures)
End of month: 1 New Publication (1 Article)
This month, I earned roughly $0.053 per publication. This represents a boost of approximately 20% over January. Whether this boost is purely because of coincidence, or because of my one new publication, is hard to know. All that is simple to see is that I not only matched, but exceeded, my previous month’s earnings, and all with very little effort.
March 2009: $4.12
Beginning of month: 85 Publications (83 Articles + 2 Pictures)
End of month: No Change (No New Publications)
As you can undoubtedly see, my earnings declined from February to roughly $0.049 per publication. I believe this is because I did not publish any new content. As a result, my earnings dropped. They did, however, still exceed my earnings from January, which is because I added more content and still had a minor boost from my February publication.
April 2009: $3.65
Beginning of month: 85 Publications (83 Articles + 2 Pictures)
End of month: No Change (No New Publications)
This was my lowest earning month of the year. I believe this is because I hadn’t published a new article since the middle of February. As a result, I was at an all-time low in relation to new content. This means that people weren’t visiting any of my content as much as normal, as there was no new content to link them to older content. My earning per publication for the month was below $0.043.
May 2009: $5.53
Beginning of month: 85 Publications (83 Articles + 2 Pictures)
End of month: No Change (No New Publications)
May marked an upturn in my fortunes, as I exceeded $0.065 per publication for the month. This was by far my highest of the year. While this would seem to go against my theory that no publications equal less royalties, I don’t believe this month proves that. Firstly, it could be a minor blip. More significantly though, this was the month when I began submitting my publications to social networking sites, such as StumbleUpon. I think this is what gave me the boost I needed to improve my monthly income per article.
June 2009: $8.63
Beginning of month: 85 Publications (83 Articles + 2 Pictures)
End of month: 2 New Publications (2 Articles)
This month, I reached roughly $0.10 per publication. This was the highest point in the first 6 months of the year. I believe this was for 2 main reasons. Firstly, I was still submitting some of my articles to social networks. Secondly, I wrote 2 new articles that month, which boosted the income on my old articles (as well as providing new income from my new articles).
To view my payment proof for June 2009, it’s on Picable.
July 2009: $12.52
Beginning of month: 87 Publications (85 Articles + 2 Pictures)
End of month: 13 New Publications (11 Articles + 2 Pictures)
This month was far and away my best earning month so far this year. I earned over $0.125 per publication, which was more than 25% greater than June’s earnings, which was the 2nd highest month of the year. This month’s earnings boost was because of my significant number of new publications, or at least this is what I believe. Hopefully, with my continued effort to write new content, I can continue to increase my earnings.
As with June, my payment proof for July 2009 is also on Picable.

Interesting, interesting. Just think what your earnings would be if you added several new articles to your Triond Account every month.
