Do not be fooled and always follow this rule to make money online.
If your aim is to make money online there is a number one rule you should always follow. Over the last 2 years I have made online a minimum of $200 to a maximum of $1500 every single month. It took me a little while to realize the number one rule to follow but once I did making money online became much easier for me and a great way to supplement my offline income.
My number one rule in making money online is simple. People always pay me for my services and I never pay them. That might sound incredibly simple but you would be shocked if you knew how many people who want to make money online pay other people for services, often on a monthly basis, that they believe will eventually or someday make them money online.
Examples include but are not limited to people who pay for advertising, pay monthly fees for auto-responders, buy e-books promising to make them rich, join ponzi plans like forced matrix schemes which promise you riches for referring just 2 people, buy info products promising you Google Adsense riches, paying for info about how to become a mystery shopper and so many other make money online ideas.
Unless you are absolutely sure that something you purchase online can make you money never buy any of this stuff. In fact if you want to make money online You Should Be Selling this stuff to other people. That is the key to making money online. Do not buy anything unless you are absolutely positive you can make money from it if making money online is your goal.
Making money online can be hard but it really is not that complicated. Following my number one rule will keep it simple for you. Always make sure people are paying you for your services and that you are not paying them. Do not get fooled into buying services and products with the promise that they will one day make you money online. In almost all cases the things that will really make you money online will begin paying you without any upfront fees or purchases necessary on your part. To make money online make sure people pay you and not the other way around.

Very true and great advice. You will rarely…if ever…make money online by spending it!

That is the best advise anyone could follow. People get rich by taking other peoples money. Don’t give them yours.

I find your $1500 figure extreme. I am no way making that much. Can you recommend firms that pay you that much!?
Do you spend the majority of your time on a computer to get that much money?
I would love to know some firms that pay that much.
Great series. I will keep an eye on it.
Take Care . j

James, I have tried to write about which firms pay the best but this site will not allow you to promote and especially not allow the promotion of affiliate links.
When I make over $1000 in a month it’s usually because I win referral contests. That is subject to forces outside my control, like when sites have referral contests. And winning referral contests is not hard but it is time consuming so when I do that I spend up to 10 hours a day online.
I know someone online who makes over $20,000 per month and I will write about that soon when I find the time. But he spends almost every waking hour of the day online.
There is a definite learning curve making money online.

I’ve spent thousands of dollars on products that haven’t really worked, so there is some truth to this, but not all spending is bad.
I’ve spent $50 to advertise a text link on a blog that had highly-targeted traffic, and I got some 70+ kinds of people sign up to my list as a start. It was great.
But definitely scrutinize a program before you join.
There is a monthly program that I am paying for, and this guy really does know how to make money online. I started making earning from his methods as well. It’s like $315 a month at the start, but I’m slowly growing it.
Most of the stuff you find in an ebook is just specializing in one strategy, but that doesn’t really show you how to make money overall because you only have a piece of the puzzle.
I doy agree that if you want to make money online, you don’t have to spend any money whatsoever. It takes time, but it is possible to do.
But if you want to move and shake and earn the big bucks down the road. I wrote an article about why good internet marketing training is important at http://ezinearticles.com/?Help!-Im-Confused—Can-Somebody-Please-Tell-Me-Where-I-Can-Find-Good-Internet-Marketing-Training?&id=4326881.
So I guess it’s really all about perceived value. If something is really worth while, and as you said, you known you can make money, then yes put your money into it.
