Sounds to good to be true? Just another idea that wont work?… wrong
Writing online to make money can happen, although it will probably never take over your real job. If you love writing then its a great way to make a little extra cash. Having thousands of sites offering this opportunity, which one do you chose and what do you put up there?
There are hundreds of sites that offer to make money buy publishing your work. They work by placing advertisements next to your work, and either when somone visits your site or clicks one of the advertisements, depending on the website. Personally I have tried two such websites with minimum success, both Bukisa and Triond.
Bukisa
Bukisa’s main difference compared to Triond is the fact that everything that you submit goes straight to the Bukisa website after being published. However, I have had so many problems with the website, mainly the fact is when I send someone a link of my work that it doesn’t work and when I view it my self it comes up with the ‘Bad Getaway’ error. However, going for bukisa is the fact that your articles sometimes appear on the homepage. Bukisa also has what it calls the ‘Bukisa index.’ This is the rate of which you are paid per thousand views. So if the index is 3.45 you will receive 3.45 USD per thousand views.
Another point about Bukisa is that the statistic’s screen isn’t as good as Trionds, Updating only once a day compared to every time you hit refresh and that Triond’s seems a lot more professional and user friendly. However, Bukisa does have the ability to show a link on your twitter page automatically
In recap
Bukisa’s positives
You are showed what you are going to receive per thousand views.
Your work sometimes apears on the homepage.
Automatically updates your twitter, showing a link to your work.
Bukisa’s negatives
The site regularly crashes
The Satistics screen is slow and only updates once a day as well as not being as good as Triond’s.
Triond
At first glance Triond seems a lot more professional. The entire site where you paste your work is set out very nicely and extremely user friendly. However, your work doesn’t go to this site. Triond owns several less known sites where your work goes to. for example my own short story wont go to Triond, instead it will go here http://authspot.com/short-stories/a-new-world-7/ at Aurthspot. This is a double ended sword for Triond, without the need for a homepage your work can’t get pasted on Trond, where everyone can see it. However getting pasted on another specialized sites home means that people will be more likly to follow your work if they like it.
Compared to Bukisa, the site is flawless, it has never crashed on me and the links always work. Being able to update every second also means i am able to see how many people have viewed my topic, with the exception of the totals graph witch updates once a day. The totals graph shows the trens in how many people have viewed my content over a certain time period.
The last thing I have time to write about is the ability to paste links to your work on over fifty four different sits, not just twitter. However, you have to do this manually.
In recap.
Triond’s positives
Better site
Links and articals always work
Able to paste links to over 54 social networking sites
Pastes work to more specialized sites, with the ability to obtain more followers
Updates every second with the exception of the totals graph.
Triond’s negatives.
No main homepage on Triond
Totals graph updates once a day.
No real showing of how much you are going to get per thousand views.
All in all the choice is up to you which site you use. I have decided to use Triond. You can contact me over Skype (brian242r) or just leave a comment.
