To make money online, and a lot of it at that, is a goal of mine too and one I intend to chase hard. With a career in engineering now set in stone I feel I have the flexibility to try out some part time work with scope of taking the plunge into mixing it in with my full time responsibilities. The dream of having that office in my spare room, a swivelling chair as I break from my laptop is something I would love to achieve. I want that part time earner to be writing, a regular column for a sports site would be perfect but I like you am finding it difficult to break into that market and am spiralling off into other online fields of money making schemes. So let me share with you what I have found on the World Wide Web thus far.
A site I joined back in 2007 enabled me to take online surveys and rewarded me with various sums of money in order for there manufacturers to gain market research. It’s an easy and sometimes quick method to raise some pennies but that is all you will be accumulating unless you put in the time……..serious time!
I still visit the site at work on my lunch breaks now and then to round up my earnings to a ‘tenner’ so I can withdraw them to treat myself to a few beers but these sites aren’t going to make me rich quick are they!!?
Other survey opportunities I have found come in the form of actually trying out products and reviewing them afterwards. These can be pretty worth while, for example one I got involved in was to experience being a customer for a DVD rental company. This was totally free as they sent you the films along with stamped address envelopes tosend them back and I was required to select what I wanted to watch by using their website. After two weeks I was required to cancel my contract, again no fee involved and report back to the survey company with an easy 5 minute review sheet. I was paid a nominal sum whilst updating myself with all the recent releases! Little perks like this can be found if you sign up to the right places and I’ll be more than happy to guide you on this.

Great article! But I still say publishing articles on http://www.triond.com and http://www.bukisa.net is the best way to build a long-term income. Sure it takes a while, but you end up with an automatic recurring income for a long long time.
