MySpace is not only a place to met new friends, it can also be free advertising too!!
MySpace
is your very own piece of virtual property. It’s where you can meet over 80 million people and add friends and browse their profiles if you have nothing to do. The CEO of Myspace earns millions if not billions from sponsored links and advertisement impressions. However, who would have thought a low budget, new entrepreneur such as myself would benefit so greatly from Myspace.
At first, I viewed Myspace as my own “homepage”, just I didn’t need to pay monthly hosting fees and the such. In addition, Myspace had tools that made uploading personal music and photos extremely easy especially for people like me that have no experience in HTML, coding, Java C++ and other words that make you sound smart. It was a free homepage where I can link to friends online. Four months ago, three of my friends and I decided to open a small online shop where we can market our own designer shirts. Like I said we were low budget, or should I say NO budget, and had no experience in real life marketing. I decided to put some photos of our shirts on my Myspace profile and post a few bulletins about our brand and the next morning we had over 200 sales!!
It stuck me that I could use Myspace as free online advertisement, where it can also benefit Myspace.com because they earn revenue from the advertisements on the webpage.
My friends and I decided to go ahead with this online marketing idea and started expanding my Myspace profile, and we also bought our own domain. It only took us less than 2 months and we had over 10 thousand friends on the Myspace profile. To us friends = customers, potential customers and people that can give feedback to our product.
We then started listing our product on ebay and trademe. We got together and started to think of more fast and cheap ways to advertise our product online. Then Joel, the main t-shirt artist, thought of getting indexed on google, yahoo and other search engines. Again, we found a form of free advertisement that could reach millions of people around the world.
It has been around 4 months now and we are waiting for our second batch of shirts to be delivered to us. We started out as no budget, no experience teenage students to being fully employed in our own business. And it was all thanks to free online advertisement.
Below is a list of the sites that have made this possible and I hope they will help you as they have helped us.

Now just think, if you found a site that would share that ad revenue with you and grew as big as MySpace is now, would that give you even more budget to grow your business with? Well, there is such a site and I talk about it on http://GetYoursFree.com
