Make Money Taking Online Surveys

Money Making

Taking online surveys is a good way to make a little extra pocket change and give you the opportunity to help develop the products of the future.

I have been taking online surveys for about three years now. Although I have not become a millionaire from doing them I have made some extra money that came in handy.

I have been doing them off and on but still managed to make some decent change. If you like filling out questionaires you will love doing online surveys.

Some of them are pretty simple to fill out and pay a fair amount for your time. Others are long and boring and don’t pay as well for the time spent.

There are about six that I would recommend but I’m only going to write about four of them because it’s been a long day. Each of them pays well, fast and in cash (check actually). All of them are free to sign up for and you might actually find yourself enjoying them.

  • Opinion Outpost–this would be my top survey site . You usually qualify for the surveys which are mostly 15 to 20 minutes long. They credit your account immediately after you finish the survey. They will send you at least two surveys each day and they pay by check when you reach $5 in earnings which usually doesn’t take that long if you are doing one everyday. Most of their surveys pay at least $2 and as much as $10. When you request your check it should arrive in a week or sometimes less.
  • American Consumer Opinion (ACOP) –I like these guys too. They don’t send you surveys that often, maybe two or three times each month btu when you get one there is a good chance that you will qualify to take it. Their surveys usually involve product testing or a questionaire about a product that a company is thinking about putting on the market and they want to get your opinion if you would buy it. The surveys themselves are pretty easy to take and pay anywhere from $2 to $5. I recently took a survey with them where they asked me to log the snacks that I ate for four days. It paid $8. They paid me for telling them what I ate! They also instantly credit your account when you finish a survey. They pay by check and say that you will get it in 4 to 6 weeks but it usually doesn’t take that long.
  • Survey Savvy– this site is a little unpredictable. They will at least send you one or two surveys each week but sometimes they may send more. The surveys are pretty easy and not too long. They pay a little less than the first two sites, that’s why they are at number 3 on the list. They offer surveys as low as $1 but you usually qualify and they will pay you. They also pay by check and their checks get to you fairly quickly. I have two of them sitting in a drawer right now. Their surveys are about products or services that you have used or seen advertised.
  • Brand Institute–this sight is more of a online chat room. They do a lot of roundtable kind of discussion where a bunch of people log in at the same time and discuss a product. One session I was involved in was to develop a name for a product that a company was coming out with. So for an hour I sat slinging every name I could think of at them. It was fun and as I recall I made $8 from it. They had the option of being paid by paypal (which I love) or by check. I took paypal naturally. They only send you an invitation once every blue moon (and you know how often that happens), so don’t hold your breath while you’re waiting for them to come calling.

All in all, I’ve had a pretty fair experience with these sites unlike some others that I won’t mention (or maybe I will). I have probably made about $100 each year that I’ve been doing them which is not a lot of money but will buy you a burger and fry from time to time.

A WORD OF WARNING: don’t ever pay to join a survey site or pay for a listing of survey sites, there are plenty of free good ones. you’ve got four already and that’s a good start
