Ehow is a website where you write about “How to” subjects. This includes topics such as, “How to Knit a Cap,” or “How to Pay Taxes,” etc. This is not a website where you can post poetry, or anything else that is not in a “How to” format. Their FAQ area gives new writers the information they need in order to begin writing successfully, so this is important to read before you start writing for eHow. 
How to Make Money on eHow
Ehow pays through PayPal, and the revenue for the site comes through adsense advertisements. You write an article and viewers come and click on the advertisements that are on your article page. You will get paid a certain percentage of that revenue. You cannot click on your own ads obviously, and you cannot encourage others to do the same, since this is against Google policy, but since eHow has a high degree of traffic, you will make money.
What to Write
The articles that make the most money will usually be topics that are in the news now. People will be searching for these topics on Google, so they will come looking for you. People who have knowledge of search engine optimization (SEO) tools also use Google Adwords, Wordtracker, and Google Suggest to bring readers to their articles.
How Much Money
There is potential on eHow to make thousands of dollars per month. There are people who write for eHow who are making that amount consistently. The key is learning to work SEO techniques and social networking sites such asTwitter, Facebook, and MySpace. There are many others as well, and eHow gives links to many social bookmarking sites when you publish an article.
