How to Make Money with Picable

Money Making

I’ve been writing for Triond for a year now, but I haven’t explored the money making potential of Picable. Here’s how I plan to make more money this summer with Picable.

I’ve been writing for Triond for a year now, and I love being part of the wonderful Triond community; however, I haven’t really made a lot of money here. My revenues have been small on Triond, probably because I don’t have a lot of stories published on the site (I only have about 40 articles on Triond as of this writing.) On Associated Content, where I have 150 published articles, I’m starting to make more and more monthly residual income as I add stories to my library there. This only confirms my theory that to make a good passive income from online writing, an author needs to publish a lot of content.

On some of the sites I write for, I see content providers with thousands of published articles. I’m sure these writers are making a nice residual part time or even a full time income from their content, but publishing that many articles just doesn’t seem realistic for me. I’m getting better as far as productivity goes, but it still takes me some time to come up with an article idea, write the article, proofread it and submit my piece for publication. I started to think recently about how I could build up my online content without sacrificing quality for quantity.

I realized that I probably have hundreds of wonderful digital photos sitting on my computer’s hard drive right now. It occurred to me that I’ve never really explored the money making potential of Picable. Last fall, I published a few photos of autumn scenes in the Hudson Valley, and they were popular, but I never got around to publishing any more photos on Picable. I decided that this summer, I’m going to publish a lot more photos on Picable to see if I can increase my Triond revenues.

How to Make More Money with Picable

It’s easy to get started making money with Triond’s partner site Picable. You don’t need anything fancy or expensive to get started publishing your photos online. If you have a reasonably modern digital camera, some free time, and a photo editing program on your computer, you can get started publishing your photos on Picable.

I am using a six year old Canon Powershot digital camera, that only has 3 megapixels, but I find that my pictures still look clear and crisp when they are published online. I also take some of my published photos with the camera in my Motorola Razr cell phone, and I’m always astonished how colorful and sharp the camera phone pictures are. Lots of the photos I’m now publishing on Picable were taken when I was writing travel articles about a particular area; I find that Picable is a great place to publish these “leftover” pictures that didn’t get published with my travel stories.

When I’m taking pictures for Picable, or trying to choose which ones I’ll publish from the photos that are already saved on my computer, I look for clear, in-focus images that are saturated with color. My photos usually have a focal point also, perhaps one bold flower, or a striking building that demonstrates an area’s architecture, or some element that grabs the viewer’s attention or tells a story.

These days, as I’m giving Picable a try, I always like to have my camera with me, in case I find an interesting subject to photograph. I download the photos to my computer then I crop or resize them using the simple photo editing program called Paint that came with my computer (you could also use a more advanced program like Photoshop to crop or enhance your photos before publishing them on Picable). Since I don’t have to pay for film or processing (I just have to periodically recharge my camera’s batteries), it’s really easy and inexpensive to produce good images for Picable. It just requires some time, creativity and enthusiasm, taking a lot of digital pictures, then looking through your photos for the ones that are the most striking and interesting.

Submitting your pictures to Triond, and publishing your photographs to the Picable website, is a very simple process. In the past week, I’ve added about 25 photos to the 5 published pictures I already had on Picable. I didn’t do much promoting of these Picable photos, just added a few links to them as Xomblurbs on the website Xomba. Still, in this last week, I’ve seen some small increase in revenues in my normally quite sluggish Triond account. I’m really excited about the potential profits with Picable.

I believe it will take lots of published content on Picable to see an increase in my monthly revenues; however, I have hundreds of great photos sitting in a folder on my computer, so I’m curious if adding a lot of quality pictures to Picable will increase my monthly Triond earnings.

In between publishing articles on Triond, Associated Content and Xomba, I intend to publish as many photos as I can on Picable. Whenever I visit the Picable front page, I notice a list of their popular photographers. The top Picable photographer has about 3,777 published photos! Imagine if all of those photos generated even a small income, if all these pictures could manage to produce 25 cents each in revenues. This would produce about $944 for the author of these photos, and even if they could manage 10 cents each in earnings, they could still pull in roughly $378 for the photographer!

I’m beginning to think that there’s a great untapped earnings potential to Picable that I’ve not yet explored. In this last year, I’ve explored new ways of generating online income, like posting Xomblurbs at the website Xomba and sharing in Google AdSense revenues. It seems to me that Picable could also be a money maker for those who are willing to devote the time to upload a lot of interesting, high quality photos.

This summer I’ll be publishing quite a few photos on Picable, and doing some social bookmarking of my photos. Each day that I add more photos with Picable, I see small but steady increases in my earnings, so I’m excited to see how my revenues could jump if I add a lot of Picable content. If you are looking to make more money this summer, why not consider Picable? In my opinion, publishing articles on Triond and adding photos to Picable, is a great way to create a nice residual income stream.

Sounds like a good idea. Going to have to carry my camera around more often.

That’s a good idea, and I see you really checked it all out. For the authors with thousands of articles you find on some websites, I’m sot so sure how they were able to produce all of them and how… I know how long it takes to produce a properly researched and well written article, which makes me slighly sceptical if they don’t use any software or just slightly modify some stuff so that it makes it through copyscape. Certainly keep on writing like you do. Great!

Nice informative article. Photography is just not in my blood, but good luck to you with this venture. Well done.

Nice read, You could write and post thousands of pictures and articles. That does not mean to say it will increase your revenue. You need to learn how to drive traffic and make your work accessible to the public. You can earn just as much revenue from one good article in comparison to someone that post and writes hundreds.

These links should help. Keep writing. xx

    Thanks for the article.

Like many others, I do not have much time to think of ideas, do research, write and proof read an article before submitting. So do not have many submitted.

I’m now checking into the possibility of making money with Picable.

    I feel funny,
    When people say,
That they expect to make money,
    In writing an odd poem.

I have posted over 520 poems,
    And these r worth,
    Only FIVE GRAND AMERICAN DOLLARS.

    That gives me a sigh,
    I am earning in DOLLARS.

    Thanks guys,
    Sell some another items,
And come and tell us how,
U sold what u did sell.

    Thank Triond for their kindness,
    In publishing Ur GREAT work.

    HOPE TRIOND IS LISTENING.

    YEAH an extra cent,
    [Perhaps for my survival. no?]

I have not been here all that long really and have put up many pictures. I love taking pictures and although I may not be a brilliant picture taker I love to take them and would have to say I am happy with the amount I am making off my pictures on here. Hope it works as well for you :)

For sure it would be more fun and exciting uploading interesting pictures and share them with friends. Though I’m not a pro photographer for sure this thing will work well with me. I will give this a try.

I just joined Triond last May 15 and I am more of photos and picture sharing and in 2 weeks time I’ve checked my earning stat its $1.50, i said wow! this here is great.

Hey thanks for this nice inputs here.

  22. Ruby Hawk Says:

It’s much easier to put pictures on picable than to do the research to write articles, but I have made very little from pictures. Maybe I just haven’t submitted enough. I wish you luck. Let us know how it turns out.

  23. Noelle Bryant Says:

I love photography, thank you, this is helpful. I have been reading many of your articles relating to Triond and believe you are talented. I will read more of your work and maybe leave another comment or two!

Thanks everyone, I’m so glad you liked the article and found it useful! I now have about 40 photos on Picable. Right after I began this Picable experiment, my camera malfunctioned and had to be sent back to factory repair. That distracted me from publishing a lot more photos. Now I have my camera back and ready to add more pics to Picable, new ones and the existing ones I have on my computer. The first month I published the photos on Picable, my earnings doubled. I wasn’t too excited, cause I only make a few dollars here, but it doubled that month. The next month (in June) I didn’t publish on Picable, and the earnings declined somewhat, but still better than before I started adding pictures to Picable. I’m going to start adding more content again this month (to Triond and Picable) and I’ll let you know how it goes as far as increased earnings.

So how did it go for you? I am new to Triond and also new to online publishing. After a week I have earned 29cents (which is about 35 cents Aus!) I am trying to do at least 2 articles a day. Sometimes I only do one and on weekends I might take a break. I am also putting up heaps of travel pics that are generic and interesting and good quality. I am not even sure how much to expect, but from what you are saying just keep on keeping on – maybe I will make a dollar this month! Are the pics lucrative?

  27. theSVK Says:

good write. i am also thinking in the same lines. lets see if it works out

  28. Allison West Says:

Fall update: I did see a small increase in my Triond earnings the month I added photos to Picable. However, I was doing so well on sites like Xomba and Associated Content, I focused my efforts on those sites this summer. I have heard from Trionders who said they are really pleased with the income from their Picable pictures, those people do have tons of photos posted (hundreds if not thousands…) I believe it’s important to try to promote Picable photos through bookmarking and social networking sites (I haven’t really done that). So far I only earned a few pennies per photo, but I’m still going forward with my Picable experiment!

  29. Jane Benitez Says:

I have never tried Picable but this sounds interesting and thanks for sharing.

  30. Teves Says:

    Thanks for the idea…
