In this struglling economic climate we all need to find new ways of earning a bit of extra cash, one of the things you can do is sell your old and unwanted belongings on auction sites such as e-bay below are my tips to successful selling on sites like www.ebay.com its really easy to set up an account so read my tips, visit the site and try it for yourself!

1. Look around your home for the things you dont want and/or dont need anymore. This way you have already spent the money along time ago so anything you make is a bonus! It might not seem like something of value to you but remember one persons rubbish is another persons treasure.
2. List your item accurately and add a photograph, the first photo is always free so make sure its a good one!  If there are any faults with the item make sure you mention it, the last thing you want is to receive bad feedback!
3. Make sure you pick a reasonable starting price for your item, remember people will bid on your item so the starting price needs to be good to attract peoples attention!  It is always a good idea to look on ebay and see how much similar items are selling for and what price they are charging for P&P so you can compare and come up with a reasonable price for yourself.
4. Make sure when you have sold your items to dispatch them promplty after you have received payment, it is always a good idea to set up a paypal account, again really easy to set up just visit www.paypal.com . With a paypal account buyers can send you the money instantly online and all you need to do is transfer it to your own bank account.
5. Having good feedback is an essential part of using Auction Sites, if you have bad feedback future buyers will probably not want to buy from you in the future!
6. If you are buying multiple items to sell buy things that you like and are interested in, this way you will know more about the items and can povide help to the buyer if needed!  Plus it will be more fun for you to sell them and you will know more of what buyers will expect from the product.
