How to Make Money on Amazon

Money Making

Amazon is basically a giant outdoor marketplace.

You can buy or sell items, pretty much everything you could want. But how do you make money off of this site?

Well, there are two ways, and they are both really simple. They have a referral program, where you put a little widget on your site, and the ad displays an item that’s for sale. You earn money if any of the people who click on your ad actually buy the item showcased. According to Amazon, you earn up to 15% of the items cost when someone buys it off of your ad. That can add up to quite a bit of money if you have a large viewer base.

Another method that isn’t as well used is the method of buying, refurbishing and selling goods. Basically, you buy an item that you think you can sell for more, or fix and then sell for more. Once you have the actual item, you look it over and fix whatever you can, or maybe repair it. This may include rebinding books, stitching clothes or rewiring electronics (not recommended). This method takes a good deal more effort then the ads, but you can set your own prices and sell on your terms, which are huge benefits in the land of online selling.

With a little luck and work, you can expect to be earning around $10.00 a month in the first few months (at least, I did) until your ad gets noticed and the items change. For the second method, there isn’t really an amount you can expect, but you have to keep trying in order to get it to work for you. This isn’t a get rich scheme, but more of a sustainable revenue stream that requires work in order to pay off.
