Money Making

Have hundreds or even thousands of friends on MySpace? You could be making dollars for every single one of them.

MySpace is one of the most underutilized and most profitable ways of making money online. Millions of people use MySpace every day. Exposing just a small percentage of them to your affiliate program, can earn you some serious money.

Be a Real Friend

The first thing to do in order to be profitable on MySpace is find a good affiliate program that not only has a good pay rate per referral, but also is a program that will sell itself. No matter how convincing you are in selling the program to people, they will not buy into it if it is not something useful. Make sure the program will genuinely benefit your referral if they sign up. Act like you are telling your best friend about a new website you found. I recommend Never Blue Ads, Fusion Cash and Vindale Research. Never Blue Ads is an affiliate marketing site that has hundreds of offers ranging from $.50 per referral to $41 per referral. The offers they have are inticing and beneficial. Vindale’s pay rate is $5 per referral and Fusion Cash is up to $8 per referral depending on how far into the program your referred user goes. Both sites can earn not only you but also your referral a good amount of money.

Make Friends

Next, you have to have people to look at your profile thus exposing them to your ads. This means you need as many friends as possible. There are many MySpace “trains” that let you put in your friend ID number and supposedly you will get hundreds of friends. Most of the people who will become your friends are bands or other people trying to get as much publicity as possible. These people will not be any use to you. They would have no desire to click on your link. They use MySpace as a publicity method for their band or they just want a whole ton of friends. What transfers the best to referrals, are people who are on MySpace to meet other people. They will be more likely to check out what you say.

Develop Your Perfect Smile

Once you have a large number of friends, you need to sell yourself to them. If people get to know you as a person, they will believe what you say. Getting a random message about an unknown program from an unknown person will convince very few people. However, receiving the same message from a person you know is much more convincing. Develop your profile and send comments saying, “hi, what’s up” etc. and start conversations with people. This will greatly increase the amount of sales you get.

Develop Your Sales Pitch…Strike 3

Now you have a large amount of friends who know you are a real person. You need to develop a sales pitch. You have a program that almost sells itself. Now you need to write a blurb telling them why they should sign up and try the program. Make it so that the person cannot wait to try it out. Even if they are not interested in the beginning, they should at least be slightly interested by the end. Find a proof of payment for your program. If it is a real quality program it shouldn’t be that hard. Just search for “proof of payment Fusion Cash” (or whatever your affiliate program is). Better yet try out the program for yourself. The odds are if you think someone else will benefit from it you will too. Write a blog post and a bulletin that you can use. Make the bulletin a short summary of your blog post to entice people to go read your whole blog post. Make your blog post interesting and completely convince your readers that they should try out your program.

Focus, Dude, Focus

Focus your efforts on one affiliate program at a time. Having lots and lots of programs will make your friends lose trust. They will think you are taking advantage of them. However, if you bring up this on cool program every once in a while, referrals will be more plentiful. Write more blog posts about how much you have made through the program. Update whenever a new feature comes out in the blog. Every once in a while remind people of your blog and send an updated sales pitch about looking at your blog. Most importantly add more and more friends. The more people you expose to your affiliate link. The more people that will click on it. The more money you make.

Once you have beaten the dead horse of your first affiliate program, find a new one. Again, write a blog post and a bulletin message. Focus most of your efforts on this new program. Occasionally remind people of the first program but mostly try to sell to people the new program.

The Most Important Thing of All…

Be honest! Do not try to convince people that they will make thousands of dollars. Most of the time it is not true. Seeing something that says “how to make thousands in mere seconds” puts most people off because they know it probably will not work. Make it more like “get paid to do things you already do”. Something that appeals to people and yet still appears to be worth their time. Make it as much like a friend telling a friend as possible. Get them to trust you. So, if you suggest something they will think, oh so and so suggested this to me, which means it must be a good program. This means that you have to pick affiliate programs that are beneficial to you because of the referral rate. However, your referrals should be able to make money through it as well. If you pick a program and give it your backing and it doesn’t make people money or it ends up being a scam you will lose peoples’ trust very fast. This is why your first affiliate program has to be your best.

Now all this is making it sound like you are getting these people to trust in you and then not giving them a payout. The whole point is not to just make money through referrals once. The way to have success with money on MySpace is to let people know about quality money making opportunities repeatedly. This way you will be making more and more money each time because you will slowly be increasing your amount of friends. More people will be willing to try your ideas if they liked your previous ones.

Be Yourself

Almost view the MySpace as your personal MySpace. In fact some people might find it useful to use their personal MySpace. Either way you are using it to build friends. Comment on other people’s profiles, post bulletins and post pictures of yourself. Pictures can help a great deal. If people see you are a normal person that goes a long way into getting them to believe that what you are saying is true. Only once you have built up friends, then do you start posting money making opportunities. Do not start off right away with 50,000 ads and pestering people with things. The whole point is to come at the people as another person who has found a great opportunity that will benefit THEM.
