Build a website, copy and paste the Adsense code, and make a fortune. Sounds easy doesn’t it? Sadly, too many have discovered it is not plain sailing.
Google Adsense has been hailed as the means for ordinary men and women to earn a substantial income from advertising revenue gathered by Google and distributed to webmasters who carry those ads on their websites. The concept is very simple. Advertisers pay Google every time a web surfer clicks on their ads and part of this revenue (we don’t know how much exactly), is paid to the webmaster hosting the ads in question.
While the concept may be simple, it is apparent that earning a decent income as a webmaster is not as easy as it sounds. There are a number of factors that come in to play that will determine whether or not Google Adsense is a genuine opportunity to earn money from advertising.
Is Adsense A Major Scam As Some Believe?
Among the thousands who operate websites with a view to earning cash from Adsense, there are more and more who have concluded they have simply been conned into carrying Ads by Google only to find that when the time comes to pick up the cash, their accounts have been closed on the basis of “click fraud”. Many webmasters have seen their websites become useless financially when Google arbitrarily decided to cancel their accounts, claiming the webmasters are responsible for either clicking their own website ads or encouraging others to do so. There are endless stories of people who have suffered this fate and who maintain their innocence.
Click Fraud Is Big Business
The irony of this whole situation is that click fraud is big business for some who have arranged groups to click on each other’s ads or even hire people from other countries to click regularly on website ads for a fee. The question many legitimate webmasters naturally ask is why their Adsense accounts are closed for no reason while the crooks websites continue to operate. The skepticism is understandable when you consider the fact that those who operate click fraud groups are nevertheless filling the Google coffers with ad revenue. Whatever happens, Google will always win.
Is It Time To Give Up The Ghost?
The sad reality for most people who seek to earn money through Google Adsense is that they are simply wasting their time creating website and adding new content. The time and effort required to make this work vastly outweighs the financial return. Hours spent on the computer writing website content, promoting your website and searching for ways to bring traffic to your site cannot be justified by the return. Some folk would be better off working somewhere for a couple of hours where they would most likely earn more than they ever could with a website lost in cyberspace.
Those who have had a bad experience with Google and had their account closed unfairly, will no doubt believe the whole thing to be nothing more than a scam. For most, sooner or later, it will become clear that the Adsense program is an almighty waste of time and energy. It no doubt works for some webmasters but not for all. The bottom line is that you might be best served shutting down your computer for a while and go find some real work that pays some real money!

I am one of those that have been shut down unfairly by Google Adsense. What irks me the most is you get only form email from them with no real explanation so you can find out what the problem is. I am beginning to think they are frauds. I was on the verge of getting paid and bammmmmmmmmm. They told be to get lost. What frustrates me even more is I supported using Google for everything. I touted them on my web site. I wrote my Congress people about their unfair internet bills that targeted people like Google. So much for having faith in them as a good company that would treat you fair.
