Why you should think before you eBay…
In this post I would like to talk about ebay!
I know a lot of you out there are looking for a way to make a bit of extra green to help out in this bad economy!
Many of you have heard or been told to try selling a bit of your things on ebay.
Well first off I would like to let you know I am speaking from experience and hope I can send along to you a proverbial message in a bottle out to the sea of people who have been struggling and have thought about eBay as a last result as to making some cash.
Also too many of you who have used eBay’s services before or are still using them.
My thought on eBay is not very good these days they have done a lot of changes in their policies and have started to raise their listing fee’s to ungodly rates. If you have ever heard the sayings gouge the little man than look no further than eBay.
When I started using eBay a few years ago it was a friendly site that had relatively good listing fees and affordable rates as to what items their customers may be selling.
However in saying that over the years I have noticed that eBay’s profits as to what their customers may be selling have gone up drastically
Well their customer’s profits have fallen so steadily in to the red that it is very disheartening to contemplate.
Many would be sellers are normal people who have very little at any given time to sell and what they do have to sell they would like to get the very best offers they can for the items. It’s a law known as supply and demand as to what the main stream may be looking for.
However over and over users of eBay have found that their items are being bid on less and that the so called idea of starting out at a low price to draw people to your item is a bad idea all the way around.
Let me explain something many do not know that I have learned EBay hopes your items do not sell!
That’s right I will say it again! They hope that your listed items do not sell! It is in eBay’s best interest that they don’t or that your items sell at the lowest price possible to keep you hooked on listing more items. It has also come to my attention that eBay is undercutting many sales on the better items listed with power sellers. So they can keep those items low or unsold. Later swooping in at the last moments to get many expensive items at unheard of low prices only to resell them at buy it now higher prices through their personal sellers listings. Of course none of this is against the law! It’s considered just good business.
As long as they keep you in the dark and promoting your items with the dream of high or better pay outs Its no longer an action site it’s a gambling casino with heavy hitters running the show!
Because they can gouge you again and again with high listing fee’s by convincing you to constantly try more things they have come up with to realist your item!
Such as other categories and more pictures and the list goes on
Constantly costing you ten cents here and fifty cents there
Also don’t dare try and use their reserve prices it will cost you double! Because the reserve price keeps the item selling what its worth to the seller.
All the while stealing any chance at a potential profit you may get off an item.
Also they nail you there customer for a selling fee when your item dose sell finally!
As if they did not get enough out of you for using their service listing your individual items.
They still have to stiffen what they call a low sellers fee.
Many people are finding that much that they list is basically given away free to support other items they may have on line. The fact is many at the end of each month find they owe eBayebay more than they ever made with nothing in the form of profit to show for all their efforts.
However eBay is good to send you many things saying how they are improving their site to make it better for their customers to sell on.
But let’s really look at who these so called benefits are really helping line their greedy pockets! ebay says you can list more pictures of you item to get it noticed better. Many fall for that and pay up to one dollar or more extra not realizing after all the extras when their item dose not sell or sells for a rock bottom low price they have lost the gamble.
ebay loves these type sellers because they can then convince them once again to lay their money down and bet on Black! Seeing the sweat on our brows as our last hope fades to obscurity Of coarse like any casino there are the few and far between win falls of luck and items selling high just enough to keep pulling the suckers back in with a new dream that they have found the item that’s going to be golden.
This is how not just eBay but many companies are doing business to day squeezing the little man keeping the greed alive and well.
It is the exact reason we are in this economy to day!
I would like to know what happened to fair play.
Of course we are told by are banks and our government its all in the name of free enterprising business. Yet they are keeping those businesses alive by latterly stealing our money!
If we the people do not like it we have the option of not using their so called services.
However in saying that the truth is we have no choice to use their services because all those that were moral and just have been put out of business.
Our country has been monopolized to the point that we the people can no longer choose what or who we do business with.
Because they all have gone the way of the misers of old!
Now we can lie down and go gently in to that night allowing our selves to be ruled and enslaved by greed and the sheriffs of Nottingham!
Or By god we can strike back!
Boycot these sites!
Be Robin Hoods fight for the little guy!
Take from the rich who are so eager to take from us!
Not just for better practices on the world wide net business and our banks.
But hold our government and those lobbyists who make this business like ebay get away with their outrages’ behaviors responsible!
Its time for a revolt a revolution
Or we will see a great depression like none we ever saw before or will come again!

I am still making a profit with e-bay. I do feel that their service of doing BUY IT NOW is not helping with my auctions. To me it is supposed to be an Auction site and Buy It Now goes against auctions ethics.
