There are many claims all over the internet of people that have made money blogging. But are they true? And if they are, how did they make the money?
This is one of the most important questions for all of us freelance writers. Can we make a living just by posting to our blog? Most people say that it is possible, but not garunteed. Many people have been able to buy huge houses, and the most expensive cars in the world from blogging. But, that doesn’t include us.
But is making money from blogging a scam? It sure does sound like it. You can’t just type up some random article, post it, and cash in on the profits, can you?
No. The only good money you get from blogging is from either selling your own product, selling an affiliate product, or putting PPC ads on your blog. But the main question is do you make any money from that? The answer for most people is short and simple. No. Why? Because in order to get people to click on your PPC ads, or make them buy an affiliate product, you need people.
This is where people are stuck. They can’t get people to go to their blogs. How can they? There is thousands of blogs created a day. Why would people go to their blog instead of some other guy’s blog? Bloggers just don’t have the resources to make people come to their blog. Their blog might have a lot of potential to make it to the top five hundred list on Alexa, but the person running the blog probably doesn’t have the potential to get their blog in that position. That is the reason that people think that making money from blogging is a scam.
In order to take your blog to the heights that you want it to go, you need a few things. First of all, you need a domain name for your website, or a subdomain of your blog builder. This is the home for your blog. Without a home, a blog isn’t a blog, it’s just a bunch of ideas that you haven’t uploaded to the internet. The next thing you need is a host, someone that can keep your blog online. These are the basic two necessities.
Most blogs I have seen and know have their own domain. Yet even with these things, people still can’t get known online. So what’s the best way to make people know you exist? Shout out the fact that you exist in the middle of a huge crowd! Online, and in the business world, this is known as advertising.
When bloggers get to advertising, they think about all the costs of AdWords, or other search advertising programs. With that thought, they give up writing and try something else. But the one thing that they didn’t know is that they could have gotten free advertising for life, without signing up for any crappy classified ads website. All they had to do was keep writing.
This is one of the easiest ways to make money online. Many people do this everyday. From affiliate marketers, to internet merchants, people will write as a way to get free advertising. It is called “article marketing” in the world of internet marketing. Affiliates use it to direct a person to an affiliate salespage, merchants use it to direct traffic to their store, and bloggers use it to direct traffic to their blogs.
All you have to do is copy a good blog post, include the link to your blog, put it on an article directory, and wait for the traffic to roll in. It’s simple, and should get you maybe three followers to your blog a month. However, even then, people don’t make much money from blogging. This is because they focus on advertising instead of content. You have to wait until you have a solid list of followers until you can think about advertising. If you advertise before that point, you will lose everyone you gathered with so much work over the last few months. Only after there is a solid list of followers can you advertise. That is one of the most crucial parts of blogging.
So is blogging a scam? Yes. It is. It takes a lot of your precious time. So instead of depending on your blog for money alone, use it in conjunction with Triond. You will be much more successful that way.

I agree with you that making money by blogging is extremely difficult, but I also think that Triond is a bit of a scam. They work under the guise of being a site for writers, but it’s truly a site for marketing ads and third party products. The writers get paid peanuts for what the site makes on these ads. Sure, writers can earn some cash if they work really hard and know how to advertise their stuff, but it’s still extremely difficult.
