Blogs That Make Me The Most Money on Triond

Money Making

It’s great to get lots of views, comments, and likes, but here are the kinds of articles that really pay off where it matters – cha-ching.

I have been posting on Triond for just about 2 months (yes, I’m still a newbie) and am trying to learn which type of articles are really drawing people in, and which articles make me the most money. I’ve been surprised to see some trends… and which type of article earns the most per page view.

Worst

  • Photos: I’ve posted just 2 photos. Both have gotten very few views, and absolutely no money Admittedly these were not great pictures, so I would imagine real photographers would do better.
  • Offbeat Humor: Although I’ve gotten a decent amount of positive comments and “likes” for these articles, I’m making the least amount of money per view on them. I’m getting just between 12 to 17 cents per 100 views.

Good

  • Weight loss: I’ve written a few articles on diet and exercise that are modest wage-earners for me. Surprisingly, each article is resulting in nearly the exact same payoff per view! I make 27-28 cents for every 100 views.

Best

  • Pets: either advice or humor. Of the several pets-related articles I’ve written, I’ve gotten between 51 and 71 cents per 100 views. In other words, I make at least one penny every time 2 new people see my article. Since these articles are also the one getting me the most page views, they are really proving the most profitable for me.

I can’t say for sure WHY some topics are more profitable than others. Maybe people reading pet articles or weight-loss articles are more prone to clicking on an ad. Or, maybe those articles have better targeted ads for the viewers. A person looking for weight-loss advice is more likely to click on ad for diet help than a person reading an article “Things My Ass Doesn’t Like” may have no interest in the ad selling an LDS Bible.

So knowing all this, it seems prudent that I focus all future articles on pets. But I’m still new, and I’m enjoying the freedom of exploring new topics and writing a range of different articles. I’d love to hear what’s working for you… and if you’re swayed by views & payoffs in determining what you write.

(Also – this is a follow up to my earlier article on what topics get me the most page views).

It’s still not much what you get for your work isn’t it.

Yes – it can be disheartening to look at an article I worked on to see it’s made me a measly 3 cents… but as long as I’m enjoying writing, it’s worth it. But yeah… not going to quit my day job any time soon!

I think two months is really not enough time to get an accurate view of what works. So keep writing and keep checking.

This article is very informative and practical. I’ve just started on Triond and know it’s a long and difficult task to earn any money online.

Really good article! I’ve decided to devoting some time now to making my writing pay. I love to write, so why not? Every new bit of info, like what subjects pay best, help. I was surprised to find that pet articles do so well! At the same time, I’m thrilled about it because I love to write about my pets now and in the past.

    Thanks for sharing!

Hmm, I’m guessing if you can combine pets or medicine with a Triond “suggested topic”/”hot topic” – that might rein in even more dough.
