The ever-popular pursuit of Internet, home based income has become extremely popular over the last few years. With the shape of the current economy today its no surprise that people are scrambling to make extra income in a time where “job security” is becoming an oxymoron. What thousands upon thousands of people are discovering is a huge company called, Amway Global.

What started as a door-to-door, catalogue sales, cleaning company has grown into a diverse multi faceted business in online marketing. Despite the tremendous growth this company has seen in sales and profit they seem to be plagued by a bad named developed somewhat by the baby boomers. The bad rep they seem to have among my moms generation is how hard it was to sell and understandable so seeing as how they only had a catalogue and did sales door to door. As for myself I ran into the business over the summer looking to make some money and learned quite a lot. Seeing as how I got involved I can actually offer some truth to this company rather then some of the false information I received from people who some how knew it all when they never even took the time to see the business plan.

Let’s start with the rumors. Amway Global = Pyramid Scheme..FALSE. For starters a Pyramid Scheme is Illegal, I repeat Illegal. Now I’m not the smartest man out there, or some top-notch lawyer but something tells me if this business was illegal they wouldn’t have advertisements on TV and own the Orlando Magic NBA team and endorse athletes all over the country. Even if they did manage to pull that off huge companies such as Dell, IBM and Barnes & Noble, just to name a few, would never partner up with a company running an illegal operation. Simply put not a pyramid scheme since it’s not illegal. Furthermore, in a Pyramid Scheme the person below you who you bring in pays YOU a fee and you can never make more than that person above you. None of the aforementioned describes Amway Global. If I sponsor someone who sells more products and sponsors more people he or she will make more money than me.

With Amway Global Yes you do pay a fee to get started but honestly what business can you start without money. And for all the services they provide for you (virtual office, business support etc.) not to mention the potential of this business the starting fee is very very negligible. Another funny thing that people often say is “Is this that business where you need people to make money?”…Are you serious? What business doesn’t need people?

Lastly what people need to realize is that this is not a get rich quick scheme. If you put in a good amount of work you can make some serious monthly income. A lot of my friends and business partners who started less then a year ago make a few thousand a month. Not millionaires yet but who couldn’t use that extra money. On that note I’m not saying this business is for everyone but for those serious about making extra money and who are willing to do some work they can definitely make serious money with Amway.
