Very useful info. One question about StumbleUpon’s toolbar, (I don’t know this for a fact nor would I pretend to know much about this kind of stuff)I was told that it slows down everything and that downloading it enables them to see all the sites you visit.

Is this true and what are the down sides to down loading it?

Judy glad you liked the article.

Anne, installing stumbleupon does NOT slows down everything. And I don’t know about the second question, but I think there isn’t any logic for them to track the site you are visiting. Stumbleupon is for discovering new sites, so it’s your choice for you if you gonna tell if you like the site or not.

Thanks for the hints. I find Stumble impossible to grasp – the downloadable toolbar and help hopeless.

The best social sites I find have been Digg ( great layout ) Faves ( Bluedot ) no need for a password and Ask ( no unneccesary joining ).

The most infuriating fact of these sights is that you have to join each one.

    Cheers . j
