Three Typical Internet Marketing Newbie Mistakes

Marketing

If you’re just starting with Internet marketing, this would come handy.

Newbies….

The group of people who make the biggest number of mistakes. And who learn most.

I have noticed that beginners in this area have several commonalities. They seem to make the same mistakes and get stuck on the same problems.

The first problem every newbie seems to have is:

Confusion

Do you know there are over 300.000 Internet marketing blogs out there? Even 300.000 is a small number, I would say there are around 1 MILLION blogs. Oh, did you forget the forums? The news groups? We are BOMBARDED with millions of information. This is a nightmare for beginners.

Imagine, for a moment, you’re a newbie wanting to find a way to make money online. You type that phrase in Google. 44 million results. Eh? You get confused, don’t know what to do. As you surf more and more, you get even more confused.

Frustration

This is usually the second stage after confusion. So many websites, so many methods, so many PRODUCTS. How many products would be have to buy to learn this? When can we finally START? I hate those surveys, I hate getting $100 a month working a lot, I want something more effective! Scams, scams, scams. Sounds familiar? :)

Suicide

Just kidding :) It’s not a real suicide, but a form of suicide. The final stage is where the people that have gone though frustration give up, think that the internet is all about scams (some even start to scam other people to seek revenge) and go out disappointed.

Of course, there are always exceptions. There are some people who would eventually find some legitimate and effective way and stick to it. But, to my experience, most of them will have no idea what to do.

Solution? Maybe if all (or most influential) marketers unite and create a site which would be perfect for a new “make money online” beginner which would provide a clear picture of what internet business is all about is not a bad idea. The thing is, today, many people are just interested in profiting on their own. Who knows, maybe…some day my dream will come true.

There are some people who started releasing free stuff to teach people how to start making money online, like Ed Dale from Thirty Day Challenge which is very interesting concept, so I hope this would become the practice for many other internet marketers.
