What I have to say will help many of you who are new to Facebook and social marketing from a lot of lost sales.
It’s like living in the WildWest again! That’s what my friends and I used to call the internet back in the late 80’s early 90’s. There is always so much competition on the net as it changes and evolves into something slightly new and improved. Once a new application is established and accepted by the masses; development goes crazy fighting to be the next “Google”.
Watching what is happening with Facebook and Ejusjon is incredible to me. These two companies are taking marketing to another level. They are showing us what can be accomplished in this social networking market!
How many people knew about Efusjon six months ago? For most of us it was virtually unknown. The pace that branding can happen is accelerated due to the various methods available for the masses to communicate.
I expect that most of you who will read this article will be associated with Efusjon and have started a Facebook for the purpose of introducing this amazing opportunity to the world. I have been told several times over the past couple of months how this is about to open on Facebook and it is going to explode. I have been monitoring the conversations over the past week and there is no doubt that it is exploding.
I have rubbed shoulders with MLM opportunities a few times in my life so I can respect the interest in taking advantage of this opportunity. I am not interested in presenting any information here opposing the value of the product or supporting it other than to say that I personally learned about the acai berry about a year ago and have read about other berries that are indigenous to the Amazon and whole heartedly believe there is a lot of value in them. Perhaps that is part of my interest in following this “brand”.
So you are here to find out the #1 mistake I have noticed people are making. Some of you are familiar with blogging and have been doing it for some time, and if that is the case you may have picked up on this already, but if you are new to the internet you may have missed this subtle but costly oversight.
If you are an Efusjon associate who has their own site and you want to refer people to that site to have them sign up under you, are you driving traffic to that site by discussing it on Facebook? What many people are doing is making a lot of great comments about the company, posting videos that take them to the corporate presentations in order to help teach their friends what you have learned and in general sell the heck out of the company. Something that is important to realize is that when you take the step to market a product on the internet, you will lose your friends faithfulness. Most of the time it won’t be intentional but the problem is that if your friends don’t know how to navigate the sites or information where you are referring them to easily, they won’t know what to do. All they know is that you told them this is a good opportunity and you showed them where to go. When they sign up on the corporate site they may feel that they are being a good friend by taking a look at what you had to show them, agreeing with you and signing up. They won’t mean to bypass you but if neither of you know how to use the technology that is most likely what is going to happen.
Be sure to give clear instruction to those who you are coming in contact with both online and off as to what they need to do. The number one mistake I am seeing is that there isn’t a link from the individual Facebook’s to their personal Efusjon websites, not even a referral name or associate number that someone could mention on the main site. I’m not personally involved with the company so maybe there is something set up to help with this, but from the outside looking in, it isn’t obvious so you will need to be aware of this.
There is going to be an app that has been beta testing for Facebook. The app is created by VP of Paramount pictures. It is a game and what is most interesting is that when people visit your Facebook they will be tied to you once they interact with the game. If at some point they decide to join the Efusjon Club you will get the credit for it. I think that is an awesome app and I would expect that it will simplify sales for individuals who really are not familiar with the internet themselves.
There are other blog sites that you may want to use to help spread the word along with your Facebook. They can be found by searching the web, but if you are interested in monitoring Twitter, I may take some time in another article to make some suggestions and I will post it to Twitter if I do.

Hi Nathan,
I\’m so glad I came across your article. You are 100% correct about being clear with friends on how to correctly sign up so that YOU receive the credit. I tested the efusjon application icon from my own facebook page to see where the links would navigate a prospect. At first I over reacted and got upset thinking I was being fooled by efusjon and all of my leads were going straight to the company and not to my personal website. When I got to the link that said \”Click Here to Join Us Today\”, although it came to a generic replicated website a prospect could only proceed by contacting their nearest distributor. I had a sigh of relief to see they could not got any further unless I had provided my login information.
But to my dismay, I now discovered I have one eFusjon friend who is also a distributor on the facebook application. When I send out an invite and a prospect comes to my \”Dashboard\” page and clicks on the HUGE \”Join Efusjon Today\” tab, it brings up my efusjon Friend\’s info and directs them to join his team instead of my team. I don\’t even pop up as a choice. The only way a prospect can come to my replicated website is to \”TELL\” them to click on the \”Progress Board\” tab where my website information is displayed. Otherwise, I\’m SOL. Pretty frustrating!!
So thank you again for sharing your information and allowing me to concur and add on with my experience.
FYI everyone!

The main problem I see with the application is the fact that you dont have to enter proper information in the tabs to play the game. If someone is curious and wants to play the game without signing up it is extremely easy to do so. For such a technologically advanced company to mis-step on this surprises me. Alot of people put in bogus info to avoid being hassled. Once they go into the game and see it will they keep playing it? Other Facebook game apps require you to keep visiting and playing (Farmtown and Mafia Wars) all the while posting your status in the game to friends to encourage them to play. So far I only see small updates on my wall stating info about efusjon, rad etc. Seems alot of the traffic was from Efusjon members. Hopefully they work out alot of the kinks.
